Hello everyone! I’m taking over while our Latin Lover is on vacations. Last night was the 2013 edition of the Eurovision song contest. If you’re not from Europe you might not know this super kitsch contest. Each Euro country has 1 contestant and we get to vote for our favorite. It’s mostly fun to make fun of the stupid song.
I think the weirdest contestant yesterday was the guy from Romania. Please look at this awesome performance! lol
Anyway he didn’t win 😉

Thank you so much to Book Lovers, Inc. for having me here! I’m very excited that Never Too Late is now “out in the wild.” It is my great pleasure to introduce you to the heroine of Never Too Late, Mrs. Honoria Duchamp, and to explain how she came into existence.
I am a ravenous reader of historical romances, and I noticed a few years ago that older heroines are rather rare in the genre. In fact, “older” in a Regency or Victorian tends to be a woman’s late twenties, when she has been out on the “marriage mart” for a few seasons and is slipping toward …

When thinking of historical Britain, most people’s minds run anywhere from the castles of the Middle Ages, to wild elegance of the 18th century, all the way to the strict propriety of the Victorian period. Not too many people think about the England that predated all of this. Roman Britain.
In 55 BCE., Julius Caesar made his first invasion of Britain. His forays, however, didn’t last long nor achieve much. Nearly a century later, Rome tried again, and this time, they were much more successful. Though the entirety …

This week it’s time for a battle of the European covers again. We did our best to raid the local amazon sites to find something pretty and shiny or just awfully disgusting for you to look at. It was a hard task but we did our best. *wipes sweat from her brow*
You are welcome to join the discussion and judge the covers as you see fit. If you want to see a bigger version of one cover just click on it and one should pop up. Don’t be shy and tell us what you really think. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

We are back with some pretty new, or better said new-to-Susi, covers. After being swallowed by real life I had the time to finally look around the publishing schedules for 2013 and found some pretty and not so pretty titles for the upcoming months. We have something for everyone- from pouting werewolves, over yellow flubber(not kidding), snarling lions, wings, critters (maybe) and rock’n’roll to Zombies.
Join the discussion and let us know what you think.
Caro: When I first looked at the Cole cover (30 minutes ago), I thought that the little shiny spot on his mouth was a big (ogre style) tooth! LOL Because let’s be honest he looks like one of those savages races you see on World Of Warcraft or the sort. lol. I don’t like it much, mostly because the hai looks weird. The eye looks way too fake too. I mean I get that she goal was …
Welcome to our bi-weekly rendez-vous of The Good, the Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me?, where it’s safe to talk about the covers you love, hate or just don’t care one way or the other about. Just remember, we’re only talking about the covers and not judging the content of the books! Since I’m always pestering Susi about my Historical Romances, I thought we could take a look at what 2013 has in store for us in this genre. Historical Romance is not an easy genre for originality. Most of the time you get the same elements on these covers, same decor, same dresses (or same open shirt flowing in the wind *wink*). But even within these strict codes, a few covers are succeeding in catching my eyes. So let the judging begin! As you will see, Susi and I mostly disagree on these covers 😉
Caro: I think the first thing I …
