I am a passionate person. I’m passionate about my family and my children…my pets, my parents, my political values, my sports teams, my exercise, my food and wine, and my spiritual beliefs. I’m even passionate about my ketchup – there better be plenty of it served with my French fries!
I’m especially passionate about words. Words have the power to change the world. Let’s not kid ourselves – throughout history, the written word has provided impetus for forward progress. It’s given us something else, pleasure, pure pleasure and an invaluable venue to express our imaginations.
I love the written word. Books, magazines, newspapers, ebooks – I love ‘em all!
So how much fun is it to be a writer? Hey, for me it’s a dream come true, but it’s been a long and winding road. I wrote poetry as a kid, majored in Creative Writing in college, but found myself without a job after graduation. I returned to school in a pragmatic frame of mind and became a Registered Nurse. Despite working full time and raising three children, I never stopped writing and submitting.
Now I suddenly have six releases in 2010. Captured, my first work of science fiction, came out on January 6th with Siren-Bookstrand. My Everything, a story of romantic-suspense, was just released by Cobblestone Press on February 12th. A short story of mine, You Might Just Get It, is part of The Cougar Book with Logical Lust Publishing. This hot Cougar anthology debuted on Valentine’s Day – yay! On March 16th, I have an elegant, sensuous, contemporary romance coming with Resplendence Publishing, Beauty and the Feast, and in the months of July and August, Resplendence will release my four-book futuristic series, Daughters of Persephone.
It’s been a busy, busy couple of years. Now I’m working on a science fiction ménage – guess I’m mixing a lot of metaphors these days, but I am feeling no shortage of passion!

About Susi
Susi is a geeky vegetarian from Gemany. She just finished university and now works as a civil engineer in steel construction. Besides her reading addiction she also knits like a maniac while listening to audiobooks. Susi also blogs at the Secret HEA Society.
My passion is my children – we adopted them 2 years ago and they drive me, urge me to live on for them.
Thanks for hosting me! Sarah – I agree – my greatest passion in life is my children. Growing up, I always knew I wanted kids – a husband was optional! I was lucky enough to meet and marry my soul mate – didn't happen overnight, but it happened!
My passion is food. I love tweaking recipes until I get groans of ecstasy from the taste testers! Miranda

I am totally passionate about food – I come from a long line of great cooks!
Thanks, Bron. Back at ya!
My passion is books. The smell, the feel of them, their ability to take me elsewhere. I'm sure that's why my tbr pile is mountain-sized.

Yes, Joder. I agree. I love books – they are like your imagination – they can take you anywhere!
My passion is exercise. I think I get off on it ;). Next would be reading. vsloboda@gmail.com
Exercise stimulates the release of endorphins, so you got that right! I have to get exercise everyday or I go insane!
Hey Julia, I'm so happy you never gave up on your writing. 🙂 It's great to be so passionate about everything. It means you enjoy life. Nothing wrong with that.

Congratulations on all your new releases! It's great to see persistence paying off in such a huge way. It looks like 2010 is going to be a fantastic year for you 🙂
So with your books crossing so many genres, who do you read?
Decadence – I read a lot of nonfiction! Actually, I read everything, from the classics to science fiction, general fiction, fantasy, medical journals. My favorite books? Dune, Shogun, Cloud Splitter, Ahab's Wife, The Handmaid's Tale, The Game of Thrones series, The Dragon Bone Chair series, anything by Sharon Kay Penman and Anne McCaffrey. I really have a variety of interests. Thanks for asking!
Wow! 6 releases in one year – you must be exhausted!
Congratulations!
My passion I think must be my profession – bookkeeping. It sounds so boring but although I love reading, writing, cooking and knitting I get tense and grumpy when I have to do them on a tight schedule. But when I have a financial report to complete I enjoy working for hours until it is done – though beware that if you interrupt me you are risking your life!
Esther – you must be like me – obsessive compulsive about getting tasks completed!
