Book Blurb:
It’s August 1977 in New York City and the weird sculptor Moss Alex Meinhardt lies dead at the foot of an ugly gargoyle he’s half completed. Natalia Grey’s demon-hunter father is also dead, and his new partner, the astonishingly sexy Carson Connors, can’t remember how it happened.
Carson isn’t sure what role he has played in Natalia’s father’s death, but after one look at Natalia, he does know that guilty or not, he’s doomed.
Natalia must take up her father’s sword and her heritage as a demon hunter and figure out what happened, for the gargoyles Meinhardt carved have life they shouldn’t have without the help of dark forces. Dark forces she and Carson must defeat—once the gargoyles have risen, of course. But the night is hours away yet…
My Quickie Review…
When I first read Carson’s Night, it starts off with a great intriguing plot. It had all the suspense of a great whodunit mystery. Ms. Ceagh certainly grabbed my interest with her choice of time period…the 70’s.
Natalia has trained to be demon-hunter but never thought she would actually have to take over her father’s position until the night of his murder. Mystery surrounds not only this case but her father’s new partner as well. Yet one look at Carson and everything thought disappears from her mind.
Carson and Natalia are bound to be together with all the smoldering looks and sexual tension that heats up more than just their hormones as soon as they get within two feet between each other.
Discovering who the real perpetrators are could be at the cost of someone close to Natalia. The twists and turns just keep on coming…
Ms. Teal Ceagh has created a new world full of action, mysterious sexy men and stubborn heroines that will sure have readers desiring more and more of.
I really would love to say more, but alas this is a quickie review from a quickie yet satisfying good read.
I rate Carson’s Night 4 bookies.
