Book Blurb:
“If she were going to die, I’d already be screaming. I’m a banshee. That’s what we do.”

The last thing Kaylee needs right now is to be skipping school, breaking her dad’s ironclad curfew and putting her boyfriend’s loyalty to the test. But starry-eyed teens are trading their souls for a flickering lifetime of fame and fortune in exchange for eternity in the Netherworld — a consequence they can’t possibly understand. Kaylee can’t let that happen, even if trying to save their souls means putting her own at risk….

My Thoughts:
Ok first of all I just have to say it: WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH NASH?! This boy…I love him, I really do, he’s spunky, sweet, caring, and he’s got it going on, but even in the first book something felt “off” to me with him…I can’t put my finger on it, and I was so excited to pick up My Soul To Save thinking we might learn more…but alas NOPE, just Kaylee dodging her dad when he’s trying to talk to her about him…my mind is in a tizzy over this, I swear!

And honestly, I kept reading and reading, because I just kept thinking there was going to be SOMETHING somewhere that at least revealed a little bit about him, but there was nothing…not that the plot line was not awesome, it was, but…you know how it is when you get something in your head and you just CAN’T stop thinking about it, that’s how I felt!

I enjoyed the fact that we got to see more into Kaylee’s world with in the pages of A Soul To Save, Kaylee comes into her own much more, and you can defiantly tell she’s starting to grow. I also liked the relationship between her and her dad, though he seems to be pushing to hard, we all know he’s just trying to protect her – though I am not 100% sure we yet know the whole reason as to why, and what that stems from, I have a sneaking suspicion there’s more going on here, and that there’s parts that Kaylee is still in the dark about…haven’t we had enough secrets? Though I do think that the secrets add to the deliciousness of the plot line!

Rachel Vincent has developed quite a unique series here, and as I said in my first review, this story could have become quite convoluted if Rachel was not very careful…and I am very happy to say, it never has! It’s intense, and this one felt darker than the first…

I was not a HUGE fan of Addison, she was kinda well, I just did not see her like I imagine that Rachel wanted me to see her, she was kinda stuck up. I know we were supposed to feel sorry for her, but all in all I felt like I did not know her enough to care.

One character that I did enjoy was Tod, his popping in and out was just fun, and though he did not have as many great one liners as he did in the first book, he still got a great sense of humor, and I like the way Rachel is taking his character, I hope we see lots more of him in the future.

Bottom Line – Unique story, VERY unique story. Good character development, I just wanted more…a lot more…and I can only hope My Soul To Keep offers some much needed answers. I look at this book as exactly what a 2nd book should be, a nice stepping stone, making sure the characters and plot are headed in the right direction! I am VERY much looking forward to My Soul To Keep!

I give this one 3 bookies out of 5!

wow, finally, a banshee novel worth checking out. I was just wondering where I could possibly find a banshee plot and there it is. Perhaps the next books in the series would reveal more about the secrets you mentioned. Isn't it always like that? It's when the last book drops that all would be answered or at least most of it anyway.

I haven't heard of this series before-I am going to have to check it out..and the info left out on the boyfriend, as Grace is is probably purposefully done-I hate it when authors do this!

This is one of those series I have on my list and wanting to get to. I just seem to find so many other books that I don't make it here. I am definitely going to have to find time to get to them.
