Book Blurb:

WHEN KAYLEE CAVANAUGH SCREAMS, SOMEONE DIES
AND KAYLEE IS ABOUT TO SCREAM HER HEAD OFF…

Kaylee has one addiction: her very hot, very popular boyfriend, Nash. A banshee like Kaylee, Nash understands her like no one else. Nothing can come between them.

Until something does.

Demon’s breath. No, not the toothpaste-challenged kind. The Netherworld kind. The kind that really can kill you. Somehow, the super-addictive substance has made its way to the human world. But how? Kaylee and Nash have to cut off the source and protect their friends—one of whom is already hooked.

And when the epidemic hits too close to home, Kaylee will have to risk everything to save those she loves.

My Thoughts:

I have, in this series I really enjoy Rachel Vincent’s voice, as well as her writing style. She’s unique, her descriptions become almost like characters themselves, and her characters are so well developed I feel like I know them, have grown up with them, and have the right to want to kick them in the rear!
This series, is also one of the most original I have had the privilege of reading, it’s refreshing, not reading about teen angst, vampires or werewolves – though there’s plenty of angst, it’s not surrounded around the “typical” scene, if you know what I mean.
My Soul To Keep, is darker than the other books so far, it delves deeper into the world of the banshee, as well as the Neverworld – I love how Rachel developed that area, talking about all the creatures that live and inhabit that world, is like taking a plunge into the darkest recesses of my imagination, and bring them to life, live and in color!
Bottom Line – This installment of Soul Screamers is darker, and more developed than the others have been in my opinion. I very much enjoyed the darkness of the drug addiction, as well as the development of Nash, Kaylee, as well as this mystery person, I cant wait to find out more about him…HMMM. This series is going places, I just cant wait to see which places as Rachel Vincent takes us forward, diving even deeper into the rich world!

I give My Soul To Keep a 4 out of 5 bookies.
