Skindancer Book 1
Book Blurb:
In an alternate Atlanta where vampires and werewolves prowl the night, magic is real, and tattoo magic is the strongest magic of them all, a serial killer is targeting the magically tattooed on the full moon.
Dakota Frost, best magical tattooist in the Southeast, learns from the police she may be a target … just when she receives a lucrative commission to ink a magic tattoo for a werewolf before the next full moon.
Caught between the rough and tumble world of the werewolves, the law and order rules of the vampires, and a sexy man-in-black whose motives are in doubt, Dakota must tread carefully to survive – because she doesn’t know whether her werewolf client is the tattoo killer … or the next victim.
My thoughts:
First off… Let me warn readers that they are going to be blown away. Frost Moon is one of a kind and pure genius. I devoured this book in one night… Definitely worth the loss of sleep because there was just no way I was going to stop reading Frost Moon once I started.
Frost Moon introduces readers to a different kind of a tattoo artist, Dakota Frost. One of the best tattoo artists and not too shabby with magic either. What seems like a routine trip to the police station turns into more than Dakota has ever imagined.
A serial killer is on the loose and this killer is targeting certain people with magic tattoos. Something Dakota
is very familiar with as the police hope to catch this murderer before anyone else loses their life. Things get even tougher for Dakota when she caught between vampires including ones like her ex-girlfriend and having to deal with a new were-child, Cinnamon.
Dakota is one of those kick ass heroines, strong on the outside but oh so vulnerable on the inside. It was hard not to like her. And with an array of memorable characters, Frost Moon will have something for every reader to enjoy.
Frost Moon has lot more going on but you will just have to read for yourself just how awesome this first installment of a new series by Anthony Francis.
I give Frost Moon a rating of 5 out of 5 Bookies.

This book is being offered on a 99cent special in the Kindle store right now so I just picked it up. I wasn't that drawn in by the sample, but UF is often a bit slow to start and it's gotten great reviews so I'm looking forward to reading it.
How much of this book is action and how much is mystery/thriller? Either way, sounds kick-ass to me!
