Barnes and Noble has unveiled a new Nook but it’s not another ereader but a tablet à la Ipad. It will run on the Android platform and will have an IPS screen and will have 8 hours of battery life if the Wifi is switched off. It will also be able to connect to sites like Facebook and Twitter where you can share and underline book passages and can also listen to streaming radio sites like Pandora. The price is set at $249 should be available later in the year!

at my bookstore they have the following 4 classifications for English books: Fantasy, Horror/Crime, Historical Fiction and General. It's hell! I have to browse both Fantasy and Horror/Crime as some series are split up and one half is shelved under Fantasy and the other half unde horror/crime.
I found Santa Olivia (by Jacqueline Carey) up in the Queer Studies section….along with several other fiction books featuring queer leads.
Good recap. Thanks for all the news. About bookstores–sure, I find things in odd places. One of the things I like about shopping at Borders is the buyer-accessible computer system. I can check to see where something is before I look for it.
