Our Blogoversary Party starts: Authors’ Takeover + Big Giveaway

The first thing we have to say is *please cover your ears* 
SQUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Can you believe it already has been a year? We can’t really.
So what better chance for me as the Geeky Lover to talk numbers. *Muahahhaha* This year practically flew by but in retrospective we achieved a lot. We published a total of 719 posts, with 226 of them being reviews. OMG I would have never thought it would be that much but yay! We also had some authors over at here and 82 of them were tortured by our, sometimes not so easy, questions (but believe me some of them got their revenge *big sigh*). Another 42 guestposts complete the list of people we will be always thankful for. But not only the authors made this possible. We found 678 kindred spirits and yes all of our readers deserve the BIG THANK YOU, too. We would be rather soliloquizing without you. We love to discuss books, covers, authors or anything else book related with you and we are proud that you seem to like doing that too (nearly 6800 comments- that number really just blew our mind). You brought life and smiles to our little place and we can’t say it enough: THANK YOU!

We always were 100% for spreading the love so it isn’t really surprising that we reach a total of 118 giveaways in these last 365 days. We always tried to keep them as simple as possible and we will continue to do that in the future. It’s all just about the fun, so no jumping through burning hoops here. 😉 More about that later…
We also want to thank all the ladies that helped us in the past- making Book Lovers Inc what it is now. We will always be thankful for their time: Colleen (the Eclectic Lover), Mel (The Monster Lover), Becky (The Lit Lover), Sagi (the Random Lover) and Heather (The Obsessed Lover). THANK YOU for everything!
Another BIG THANK YOU goes to the team: without all of you this would never have worked out. All the time, compassion, love and help you put in this is unbelievable. All your ideas and contribution made Book Lovers Inc something special. You made it into a place where people actually can talk about what they want- you gave it a homey atmosphere- a home even when you aren’t at home. You not only put your heart and soul in it you also encouraged the readers to participate. Thank you!

What is all this Blogoversary buzz about?

We really thought long and hard about this celebration and we thought perhaps we should reverse the roles for a change. We had a “hard” year and what better way to relax then to give all the work to the authors? Yeah, we thought this was a brilliant idea too. So we tried to reach willing authors with all methods available and luckily we found some willing victims. We were so wrong- it’s not as easy as we thought to be on the receiving end of an interview and some authors really can come up with some HARD tasks but I think we deserved all that. 😉
So the next 13 days will be full of posts from authors for you and you guessed right there will be an extra  giveaway or two. *wink* So stay tuned for those. You can find a list of our schedule in the sidebar and we link to the posts which are already up.

For every comment you leave on ANY of our blogoversary posts you will get an extra point.
And yes if you spread the word about our blogoversary we will give you an extra entry too.
You can leave all the tweets, facebook updates, blogposts links here. But please make sure that you don’t spam- we want to share the love and not annoy the hell out of your followers. 😉
All Giveaways will end on Friday, February 4th 
and we will announce the winners on Sunday.
