As we say here in Germany “Rache ist Blutwurst!” (Revenge is Blood Sausage!) some author’s jumped up and screamed yes when we said yes you can actually grill us in return for all the evil questions we threw at you all year. So here is what Blutwurst looks like- we were actually forced to answer them all twitter style (140 characters or less). Please welcome today’s interviewers: Cathryn Brunet and Stephanie Julian. And if you endure it there is a surprise at the end. 😉

Cathryn Brunet: Do you compose a review of the book in your head as you’re reading or do you just try to enjoy (or not) the story?

Susi – The Geeky Lover: Depends. I take notes for review copies but just enjoy my pleasure reads. And I always have my post-its handy. *g*

Caroline – The HEA Lover: Depends,I try not to think too much about the review while reading but sometime parts or sentences pop into my mind and end up in the review
Amanda – The Winged Lover: I don’t write anything while I’m reading but i am taking notes in my head and slowly forming an opinion…which sometimes changes completely by the end.
Lea – The Danger Lover: I make short notes using different systems for e-books and trade paperbacks.
Bea – The Charmed Lover: I make mental notes & if I’m reading on the Kindle, I bookmark particular passages & quotes that I might want to use or reference.
Larissa – The Crazy Lover: I get lost in the story almost every time. sometimes if I see something that I feel I will want to mention in a review (good or bad) I highlight it.
Melissa – The Spellbound Lover: I try to make notes but end up getting too caught up in the story.

Jackie – The Quirky Lover: Mostly I like to just enjoy to read then compose the review after.Sometimes, I’ll note quotes.

Stella – The Latin Lover: Usually I just try to submerge myself in the story, but if something jumps out to me (in a good or bad way), I’ll note it.
Veronica – The Sexy Lover: I usually take notes but most of time I just lose myself in the story.
JoJo – The Cornered Lover: If I remember to take notes I try to, but most of the time I just read and enjoy, then write my post after. If I find a really good point that I want to note I fold the corner of the page.
Has – The Smutty Lover: It also depends for me too- I do make notes while I am reading, but if its a good book I get lost into the story but if something stands out in a positive or good way. I note that down and mention it in my review.
Stephanie Julian: What was the first book you remember reading?
Susi – The Geeky Lover: Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter by Astrid Lindgren
Caroline – The HEA Lover: Caroline à la mer by Pierre Probst (yes I’ve always been a narcissist lol)
Amanda – The Winged Lover: The Big Book of Fairytales
Lea – The Danger Lover: OMG – stymied – um – probably Dr. Seuss, “Green Eggs & Ham”, but that may be the first one I remember reading to my kids. lol
Bea – The Charmed Lover: I have no clue what the title was but it was an illustrated copy of Greek myths.
Larissa – The Crazy Lover:  Oh wow! hmmm I read a lot even as a little kid, it was a Brazilian author… can remember her name.
Melissa – The Spellbound Lover: Oh, I did a lot of reading when I was younger but I think it was something by Roald Dahl.
Jackie – The Quirky Lover:  The Mr Mugs books by Martha Kambeitz and Carol Roth are the first ones I remember loving.

Stella – The Latin Lover: A book by a Hungarian children writer about a green polka dotted horse and his red striped brother 😀

Veronica – The Sexy Lover: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.
JoJo – The Cornered Lover: Oh man……that was sooooo long ago I think it probably had to be a babysitters club book.
Has – The Smutty Lover: Ahhh This is a hard one, but my first ‘real’ book which was very imposing for me and I felt like I wouldn’t be able to finish was The Neverending Story by Michael Mann.
Stephanie Julian: Why did you decide to start your first blog?
Susi – The Geeky Lover: I wanted to talk about the books I read and I’m the only one I know who reads English romance books here in Magdeburg.
Caroline – The HEA Lover: Ditto with where I live in France. None of my friends share my love of books. I found a fantastic book loving community with blogs
Amanda – The Winged Lover: My blog started out as a writing blog then died…and was reborn as a book blog because i realised there was a market for it.

Lea – The Danger Lover: I started visiting them and a friend started a book blog and I thought it might be fun. 🙂

Bea – The Charmed Lover: My first one was for personal stuff but I suck at journal keeping 😛 then I started my book one for fun.
Larissa – The Crazy Lover: It felt like a good way to stock up and write down my adventures. The reviewing this only came later.
Melissa – The Spellbound Lover: I come across a few book blogs and thought it would be fun to have my own. Plus I wanted to get into the habit of writing everyday.
Jackie – The Quirky Lover: It was a bucket list type thing. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, then found book blogs and it all changed 🙂
Stella – The Latin Lover:  I’ve been listing my books on Goodreads but I also wanted to write more detailed notes, reviews of my readings.
Veronica – The Sexy Lover: I came across some book blogs and saw how great they were that it inspired me to come up with one of my own.
JoJo – The Cornered Lover: Well when I got hooked on romance I had no one to talk to about them. I didn’t even have anyone to give me ideas on what to read next. And yes this was before I even knew what twitter was. So I decided hey why not start a blog and share my thoughts on what I’m reading and maybe, just maybe someone out there would eventually read it LOL
Has – The Smutty Lover: I had a personal one which only had 3 entries & gave up on it but I got chatting with a few of my online friends and since we talked a lot about books to each other and found we had a reputation for bookpushing, so we decided to start a book review blog just for fun.
Stephanie Julian: What’s your favorite book?
Susi – The Geeky Lover: That one is made of evil- changes all the time but at the moment Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews.
Caroline – The HEA Lover: It really is lol.I think it’s Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen (I’m cheating)
Amanda – The Winged Lover: My brain just short-circuited trying to think of one…is that even possible? Hmmm…
Lea – The Danger Lover: Just one? These questions are killers. Probably, “Outlander”, by Diana Gabaldon.

Bea – The Charmed Lover: Oh, very evil. Ummm, A Dance Through Time by Lynn Kurland & Industrial Magic by Kelley Armstrong

Larissa – The Crazy Lover: Not cool! LOL I LOVE Jeri Smith-Ready’s Crow Trilogy!
Melissa – The Spellbound Lover: Just one? Wow tough question. Would it be cheating if I said the Harry Potter series?
Jackie – The Quirky Lover:  Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay. The ending has stayed with me years later. I have to re-read soon!
Stella – The Latin Lover: Oh my, you are Evil! I love all your answers! I LOVE Outlander and Kelley Armstrong, but if I had to go with only one: I agree with Caro: Pride & Prejudices by Jane Austen (though Emma is a close 2nd!)
Veronica – The Sexy Lover: It would have to be Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips with Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews a close 2nd. 🙂
JoJo – The Cornered Lover: Oh man You can’t be serious?!? Gaaaaa My favorite book is anything that involves paranormal with Sexy Highlanders! HeHeHe You didn’t think I could actually answer that did you ;0)
Has – The Smutty Lover: I don’t have one favourite book because its hard to choose, but the one book that made me have that first obsessive OHMYGAWD I LOVE THIS book feeling, was Alanna The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce. But all time faves are books by Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, Linda Howard and a few more has given me that same feeling!
Stephanie Julian: What do you think is your best review and why?
Susi – The Geeky Lover: Amidst a Crowd of Stars by Megan Hart– it just flowed while reading it and it is one of the few I still like to read, even though I would love to change some things

Caroline – The HEA Lover: Sinful by Charlotte Featherstone. It’s always hard to write a review about a book you adored. It’s exactly how I felt about this book.

Lea – The Danger Lover: I’ve only been blogging at BLI a very short time so I would have to say Blood on the Pen by David W. Huffstetler but I have a couple of favorites at closetreader.
Amanda – The Winged Lover: Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma…it was one of the hardest reviews I have ever had to write and I think because of that it has turned into one of my best.
Bea – The Charmed Lover: Hmmm, not sure I have one yet.
Larissa – The Crazy Lover:  I’m with Bea hehe
Melissa – The Spellbound Lover: Agree with Bea and Larissa
Jackie – The Quirky Lover: From the few I’ve done? Hmmm… The Duff by Kody Keplinger, it was my first 5 bookie rating.

Stella – The Latin Lover: I loved re-reading my review of Blood Promise by Richelle Mead, because it made me relive exactly how I felt while I read the book.

Veronica – The Sexy Lover: Not sure. lol!
JoJo – The Cornered Lover: I would have to say my best review would be I’ll Be Slaying You by Cynthia Eden. It was such a good read I was excited to share my thoughts on it!
Has – The Smutty Lover: I don’t think I have written one yet either but one I really liked was my Silver Borne review.
Stephanie Julian: If you could marry any hero from any book, who would it be and why?

Susi – The Geeky Lover: Right now: Jeff Martini cuz he is hot, funny, wears Armani and is godlike in bed.
Caroline – The HEA Lover: Oh Clayton Danvers from Kelley Armstrong’s books. He is hot, smart & he”d do ANYTHING for the woman he loves (which is me,but it’s a secret)
Amanda – The Winged Lover: Bones from Night Huntress or Anyan from Jane True both because of their awesome protective yet non-overbearing natures.
Lea – The Danger Lover: Vic Savian from Beth Kery’s Wicked Burn. He’s alpha, dominant, brilliant, temperamental, handsome what can I say? He’s HOT..

Bea – The Charmed Lover: Caro, I’m worried about you. 😛 As for me, no one. Not interested in marriage to anybody. 😀

Larissa – The Crazy Lover: Can I have an Harem? No? Spoilsport! I’ll pick… hmmm this is so hard! *that’s what she said* ok ok, Zsadist! there I said it!
Melissa – The Spellbound Lover: It would be a toss up between Marc from Rachel Vincent’s Shifter series and Apollyon from F.E Heatons Her Dark Angel.
Jackie – The Quirky Lover: Right now it would have to be Harry Dresden from Jim Butcher’s books. I <3 tall men.
Stella – The Latin Lover: Jeff Martini! I’m in love with that guy: he’s laugh-out-loud funny, sexy, possessive and swoonworthy :-D, love ‘im!!
Veronica – The Sexy Lover: I would have to go with either Curran or Barrons. They’re both sexy alpha male that I would love get up close and personal with.
JoJo – The Cornered Lover: Oh mannnnnn again so many! I would say Bones (Night Huntress ) AND Rehvenge (Black Dagger Brotherhood). Yep I’m greedy *big grin*
Has – The Smutty Lover: I’m greedy and dont care but I choose Adam from Mercy Thompson series, he makes my bones melt :D, Lucivar from the Black Jewels Trilogy because he has the Rrrraorrr factor and finally Illium from the Guild series because who doesn’t want to be swept off their feet by an angel?

I'll answer the first question by Cathryn Brunet: Do you compose a review of the book in your head as you're reading or do you just try to enjoy (or not) the story?

I tried note taking, but it distracts me from the story. Usually the review forms itself in the background of my mind while reading.

I loved reading all your answers! 😀
