Hounded by Kevin Hearne
1st book in the Iron Druid series
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old—when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer.
Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries. Now the determined deity has tracked him down, and Atticus will need all his power—plus the help of a seductive goddess of death, his vampire and werewolf team of attorneys, a sexy bartender possessed by a Hindu witch, and some good old-fashioned luck of the Irish—to kick some Celtic arse and deliver himself from evil.
Almost Final Curtain – Tate Hallaway
Sabine – Moira Rogers
Three to Tango – Lauren Dane
I already waiting Breaking Point by Pamela Clare. Have you read her I-Team series? I swear her books is one of the best thriller suspense romance ever, and everyone must read this series ;). But I'm in book buying ban, so I must wait until end May to buy it
From the list, I want to read Hounded (sound interesting), Dragon Bound (I hear so many praises for this book, and my friend said the hero like Raphael from Guild Hunter series, wooot!)The Legend of Michael, and Jace (since I'd read the 1st book, Caleb)
Wow,all book that I mentioned have a hottie as model cover, my bad
@Ren Nope i've never read books by Pamela Clare, but I admit that I'm never very attracted by suspense romance (translation: I always peek at the ending and it ruins the books for me lol)
Oh nooo book buying ban sucks :/
I had a blast while listening to Hounded, I don't know if you like the Dresden files but if you do you'll love that one too. *g*
Ohhhhh Dragon Bound has a Raphael-like hero??? Wooooot me wants!!!
Some great reads released this week!
A lot of these look good. I really need my Sookie fix!
I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of Hounded – sounds like a fun read and the start of a new series is always exciting!
@Robin K Indeed! I'm trying NOT to order too many. Making this post is just torture lol
@LSUReader I stopped reading the Sookie books 2 books ago. I'm hoping this one will get good reviews and will make me want to read them. *sigh*
@Mel *squeeeeeeeeeee* Hounded was aaaawesome! *g* It is exciting! And YAY 3 books in the series released back to back is just so great
Well, I just read the review of Three to Tango and then went and bought it.
I have Hard Bitten on order but I read a review which said there is a major cliffhanger at the end of the book and romance fans probably won't like – so now I'm thinking I'll wait to read it until Drink Deep comes out in November – but even then I might wait until someone tells me the romance side of things ends well otherwise I might save my money.
@Kaetrin I plan to read Three to Tango too! Susi kept telling me how great it is so now i have no excuses.
Damn, that sucks about Hard Bitten. I think it's one of the reasons why I don't read so many UF anymore…there's no reassurance that there will be a good romance in it. And I HATE cliffhangers with a passion!! grr. :/ At least next book is out in a few months :/
@pattepoilue I don't even know what the cliffhanger is, other than that it's there – I'm likely to take sneak peek when the book arrives because I can't stand not knowing – which is why I hate cliffhangers!!!
I have read a few UF series but they have all been from romance blog recs where there romance is a strong feature. I picked up the Chloe Neill series after hearing raves about Ethan and Merit – if they don't end up together I will feel very robbed!
@Kaetrin I DO understand! I stopped reading this series after book 1. I do have book 2…and i do want to read it…but not until I'm sure it'll end right lol. =P
I often wait til the series is finished to read it LOL Coz I'm too scared of being disappointed, or rooting for the wrong guy. <==i hate love triangles!
@pattepoilue : oh, if you want to read some suspense book, remember my recommendation ;. Book buying ban sucks, but I get some free books, yay!
I never read Dresden files, but Hounded cover is screaming to me "Read Me!!" *lol* I love when the main hero is a man ;). Ohh, and you have Thea Harrison interviewed in this web. I love it, I think we both must read Dragon Bound.
I'm rarely reading UF too, I want HEA in my books. If there's not, I will pissed off! (and I hate love triangle, same with you)
@Ren Oh I will! It's my goal this year: opening up to new-to-me genres!
Dragon Bound is now on my radar! I keep hearing great stuff about it and the author seems like a very nice person.
ohhhhh if you like men as main heroes, Hounded is just for you! There's no romance though be warned! lol BUT it's very funny *g* The Dresden books by Jim Butcher are very addictive but I think Hounded is 'lighter' to read. (I am not-so-secretly in love with Harry Dresden and Atticus but shhhhh ) *g*
