Hello out there! For this wishlist post, I will be taking the reigns and letting you in on what I can’t wait to get my hands on in the coming weeks.
Now I haven’t bought any books in nearly three months so my wishlist is getting quite large, but for this post, I have chosen a select few…
SEQUELS
I am constantly reading the first in a series and loving it! But I rarely seem to get around to the sequel, so here are my current top three sequels to get my hands on ASAP!
Accidentally Dead by Dakota Cassidy
A vampire puts the bite on a dental assistant. It’s a lousy first day on the job for Nina Blackman when a patient, loopy from the anesthesia, bites her. At least he was cute. But for real drama she can’t beat the next evening. Nina wakes up with a set of razor-sharp fangs, bionic vision, supersonic hearing, and a taste for blood. But there’s a good explanation: It’s her patient, Long Island vampire Greg Statleon. Actually they’re perfect for each other—if Nina’s willing to commit to one man for eternity.

I loved the first book in this series (The Accidental Werewolf) it was full of funny one liners (many from Nina) and I have been desperate to get around to getting this book.
When Carlos Fuentes returns to America after living in Mexico for a year, he doesn’t want any part of the life his older brother, Alex, has laid out for him at a high school in Colorado . Carlos likes living his life on the edge and wants to carve his own path—just like Alex did. Then he meets Kiara Westford. She doesn’t talk much and is completely intimidated by Carlos’ wild ways. As they get to know one another, Carlos assumes Kiara thinks she’s too good for him, and refuses to admit that she might be getting to him. But he soon realizes that being himself is exactly what Kiara needs right now.

Perfect Chemistry was one of my top reads last year and after listening to a certain Lady Gaga song recently I have had the urge to read Rules of Attraction. I can’t wait to get into Carlos’ story but once again just haven’t seemed to get around to it yet.
Okay, so cats don t always land on their feet. I know that better than most. Since rejoining the Pride, I ve made big decisions and even bigger mistakes: the kind paid for with innocent lives. As the first and only female enforcer, I have plenty to prove to my father, the Pride, and myself. And with murdered toms turning up in our territory, I m working harder than ever, though I always find the energy for a little after-hours recreation with Marc, my partner both on- and off-duty. But not all of my mistakes are behind me. We re beginning to suspect that the dead are connected to a rash of missing human women and that they can all be laid at my feet–two or four, take your pick. And one horrible indiscretion may yet cost me more than I can bear…

I will admit to being wary of this sequel at first because of the similarities to the Women of the Otherworld series, but I just can’t seem to get Faythe’s voice out of my head, she is unique in so many ways that I just can’t wait to delve deeper into this series.
So there you have it, my current top of the wishlist books. Three books that I have been waiting a year to read. Now that this post is up, I will have to buy them!
Any suggestions on which I should buy first?
Are you in the same habit of reading the first in a series and never getting around to the second?

I'm not read Dakota Cassidy yet, and even Stray had translated in my country, I don't have a time to buy the book. So, I suggest to buy Rules of Attraction!
I love Perfect Chemistry and can't wait to read the next book, even RoA not as great as Perfect Chemistry, they still good, and the story more funnier and lighter..
Usually when I read series, I always jump to the next books, after read the first book 🙂
Ohh Amanda!! Rules of Attraction ROCKS! Seriously it's has good as the 1st book. I loved it. I can't WAIIIIIIIIIIIIIT for the next book coming out in August. *sigh* It'll be awesome of course *g*
Your second sentence, "For this wishlist post, I will be taking the reigns…", made me scream. Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine (it's "taking the reins", an equestrian reference, although usually the misuse is in the other direction).
I, too, give up on a series after the first or so book – not out of dislike but more out of apathy. Sure, I read the first three books in the Shifters series but although I enjoyed the ones I read, I'm not that inclined to read the rest. The same is true of her Soul Screamer series – interesting but not making me run to the bookstore any time soon. Other series have taken me that way as well, both YA and adult fiction books.
