The Good, the Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me?

This week will be a bit different. For one thing, it’ll probably be a bit messy because my other half (aka Susi) is not here to get everything organized. *wink* So I thought it was time to talk about pretty covers of books yet to be released. Let’s see what the future has in store for us!
I don’t want to read all those books (well ok I want to read 95% of them lol) , some are books I can’t wait to read, some are covers I just find gorgeous, some I really don’t know anything about. It’s all for the pleasure of the eyes 😉

You can look at it as my  ‘Shallow Wish-list of Most Wanted Covers’, based mostly on how pretty or original I find the covers. So here they come…

I’m very excited about The Duke is Mine and I find the cover very pretty. I don’t know anything about Born Wicked but it’s gorgeous.   And just look at Heart of Steel…’nough said! (I think someone wants a spongebath lol)

A special mention for Susi’s ‘Most Wanted‘ covers: (I can’t find fault in her choices *g* NOM)
So here you have it, this is a bit random I admit but that reflect very well my various tastes 😉

    My most wanted cover is Changing The Game. Even though I read most of my books on my kindle (ok so I stole my daughters kindle 2 when my Kindle 3 was stolen) I MUST have the actual books to the Play by Play series. I am a huge sports buff and am in love with these covers!

    I do not like the Pandemonium cover – it is so different from Delirium I would never know they were a series. Plus (I am ranting now ha ha) I really dislike faces as covers… I have my own idea what the characters look like and when they make them a cover like a grad pic – especially in a sequel) I have to wonder who is that? As "that" does not match who I had in mind at all.

    End of rant.

    Out of the two covers for Third Grave Dead Ahead by Darynda Jones, I like the second one better. The red dress and scythe with the sneaks is just too funny. I hope that's the cover they use!

    Hm, I think I like the Fast Track series covers better when there wasn't a woman on the cover (although "The Chase" has Paul Marron so i can't complain that much). "Flat-Out Sexy" was just flat-out hot!

    Maya Banks also has some sexy hot covers and Jaci Burton's Play by Play series: *sigh*

    I'll be getting "Lothaire" as well. It's not the most awesome of Paul Marron covers but it does have his direct gaze – a pose that's been missing since "Lover Avenged".

    All in all, I think I'm attracted to a sculpted male body and various shades of purple, as far as I can tell.

    Can you see the male torsos and my fascination with them 😉 LOL! Too hard to miss with my choices – eh!!
    But then who doesn't like to ogle at good eye candy….

    @Maria Ahhh yes I forgot Changing the Game! Indeed I also want it so I can admire the series on my shelves *g* I have The Perfect Play on my shelf, now I just need to read it! 😉

    @Sheila Don't worry I understand what you mean! I often rant about how the model on the covers don't fit the characters. In this case, I can't really say because I don't remember what she looked like *hides* . She looks fierce, which seems far from what I remember from her. But I do like the pretty colors. =P

    @Lesley The one you described is the US cover. I really like it but the UK cover is fun too. I love her cute shoes!

    @Sheree I didn't even realize it was Paul Marron again! LOL He really is on the best covers! I admit the woman on the Chase is superfluous but I still find it sexy.
    The Maya Bank cover is just so perfect I can't stop staring. *g*

    @Ju Dimello Indeed who doesn't?! 😉 I just discovered Too Hot to Touch a few days ago and damn…a hot muscled man cooking? How can I resist? NOM NOM NOM

    for me it's the Daniel Dos Santos cover for Gini Koch's book and the Ann Aguirre cover. I must say I do not like all those half naked dude covers.

    @Sullivan McPig I love Dos Santos' covers. I wonder if we'll ever get bored by his style/work. =P
    Ohhh no naked dude for you? NO problems! I'll keep them for myself *muhahahahahah* Kidding apart, I have phases too when I'm just bored of naked torsos on cover but right now I'm really into it *g*

    Blood Rights has an absolutely gorgeous cover. I'm not usually that into vampire books (which I presume this one is), but that cover destroyed my vampiric-reservations.

    @Draconismoi Have you seen the 2 other covers in that series? She looks like a warrior. I love these covers. I'm trying not to make too much of it coz i'm afraid the books won't live up to the hype =P
    I am also bored of vampires these days. *shrug* I guess I'm waiting for a vampire book to sweep me off my feet 😉

    Great cover choices! I find the new Maya Banks cover, Sweet Addiction, strangely compelling.

    I like the Lauren Dane and Erin McCarthy too and the period feel of the new Charlotte Featherstone is very nice also. **must not go any buy any books now though** 🙂

    @Kaetrin Me too! I've never wanted to look at a female ass so much in my life LOL I've been staring at this cover a lot.

    *squeeeee* YES the Lauren Dane is just *squeeeeeee*
    LOL the good thing about this list is that they aren't released soon so we have time to prepare our purse LOL
