We are very happy to welcome Ann Mayburn here at Book Lovers Inc today. I met Ann on twitter and she is such a wonderful funny person I just had to get her over here. Her newest release, Emerald Moon, book 2 in her Prides of the Moon series will be released tomorrow and she is here to ask us a question. Be sure to answer the question in the comments for your chance to win the first 2 books. Please give Ann a warm welcome.
The soul-bond goes one step beyond that, literally bonding the other persons soul to your own. It is a deep intimacy more profound than marriage, because once a couple is soul-bound there is no divorce or backing out. You are part of that persons soul forever. With the bond comes extra strength, both mental and physical, and the couple can communicate in each other’s minds across great distances.
I hope you enjoy my stories from the ‘Prides of the Moon’ series. A new short story in the series will be coming out once a month as part of Decadent Publishing’s 1 Night Stand series for as long as my readers want them. 🙂 Thank you for letting me spin you tales of passion, danger, and most of all love.
About the author:
Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she’s been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead(though she will deny to her children that it ever happened).
From a young age she’s been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she’s never looked back.
Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her ‘sexy space’ and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.
About the book:
Ben Harkil had long ago given up on love, refusing to believe that he was worthy of it. When he is given the gift of a 1 Night Stand blind date he goes into it expecting nothing more than a night of savage pleasure. Instead he finds the missing piece of his heart.
Jude Carson has an impossible task in front of him. He has to convince the man that he hasn’t seen in fifteen years that he still loves him with all of his heart and wants him back. A task made even more diffuclt by the horrible circumstances that lead to their parting and tore their former pride apart. Ben will have to learn that sometimes the hardest person to forgive is himself if he wants a second chance at the greatest joy he has ever known.

I gotta say I'm a dog person. I just find cats so…hm, how to phrase it…unpredictable. 🙂
Then again, my bestie's cat is awesome. There are exeptions to every rule I guess.
Thx for the giveaway!

Definitely a cat person – my four cats wouldn't have it any other way! LOL
My favourite among the big cats is the Clouded Leopard, but I wouldn't say no to an Ocelot or a Siberian Tiger either. 😉
My email address is: carolrward(at)gmail(dot)com
I am "owned" by 5 cats and a dog, so I would say I am both. Don't tell them, but I do lean a little towards cats. It is nice to not have to take them outside when it is ten degrees out. Cats can be trained just as much as dogs. I actually trained one of our cats, to work with my son who had special needs. It was pretty amazing what she would do.

I've always loved dogs. I've only ever had dogs for pets. I even pet dogs that are not mine and strays… yes, I'm not that afraid but I'm cautious.
I like almost all shifter books but my preference is the big cats.
Your books sound wonderful!

Fab interview..and love the card for the 1 NightStand Series xxx Very cool!
Am I a cat or dog person?
A cat person, without a doubt.
I've always owned a kitty kat. Or should that be a kitty kat has always owned me 🙂
Being a Leo and a Tiger I am a cat person all the way!

I'm totally a dog person. But … I find the idea of shifting into a big cat more alluring.

In real life, I'm a dog person but for shifters, I have to admit werecats are much sexier! 😉

I love hearing all these comments! In my house we have two dogs and a cat who thinks he's a dog. 😉 Duncan, the cat, was abandoned by his mother and raised by the family we got him from's Doberman. He's a little weird, but we love him.
We live out in the country and deer(aka stupid deer) are always trying to eat my plants. I was getting ready to yell at a doe one day when I saw a flash of orange tabby jump behind our wood pile. To my amusement, I watched as Duncan proceeded to stalk the deer, doing that cat but in the air wiggle thing. He sprang out at the deer, claws flashing and his fur all puffed out.
The deer was not impressed.
As he bounced around and acted like an idiot, the deer stopped grazing on my flowers, looked at him and snorted really loud and hard. Scared the piss out of Duncan. He stopped faux attacking and ran the other way.
God definitely gave that cat more balls than brains. 😉
Cats are gross, I prefer dogs, especially when they are other peoples' dogs and I don't have to feed or clean up after them 🙂

Ann, I've always been a cat person although I don't have any right now as my DH and son are both allergic. I still get to visit my mom's though. 🙂 And my favorite animal has always been the tiger. I don't hate dogs or anything, though.
Dogs all the way IRL, for me Ann. But in a shifter story i like them all! I LOOOOOOVE the cover for Emerald Moon, so sexy!
I am a dog person.I am not of fan of cats. One, I'm allergic to them and two, they do their "business" in my flower beds.ugh.
Thanks for the giveaway

Great interview!!
I'm both!! We have always had dogs and I absolutely adore our yellow lab Toby! Three years ago we went to our local SPCA with the intention of adopting a kitten. We walked through the cat enclosure several times and we kept coming back to an adult male cat (we named him Max) who we knew was scheduled to be put down within a few days. He was the sweetest thing I've ever seen, we took him out of the cage and he literally wrapped himself around me. We adopted him and he just fit right in with the family and Toby loves him too!

Hey Ann!
I'm a Leo too. I have both cats (2 Maine Coons) and dogs, a Great Dane and a Great Pyr. Heck I just love furry things. LOL!
Great giveaway! And your covers are HAWT!
I love cat shifters no wet dog smell.

Total dog person. I even prefer wolf shifter stories to cat shifter stories. Of course, there are some exceptions. My friend had a cat that I just loved. The silly thing liked to recline in your lap and face out to see the world. And, I love Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series.
Thanks for the giveaway. I would love the chance to read the books.

We HAVE to choose ONE?!
Ok, cats, I guess. Something so beautiful about how a big cat moves….
But heck. If the shifter is sexy and won't eat me for dinner (dessert maybe), I'm good either way!
I am definately a dog person. I think I have had at least one dog my entire life!
Thanks for the post and giveaway.

I <3 both cats and dogs 😉 Since with the wolf shifters, the dogs take a whole new meaning 😉 Loyal, fierce, strong!
And then there're the cats…so many varieties..never ending, fascinating..in terms of characters 😉
I'd love to try your books 🙂 The covers, and the blurb looks fab.
Thanks for the giveaway! Count me in. judimello AT gmail DOT com
Hi Ann!
I have a 7 lb yorkie named Tigger who thinks she can defend the home turf from deer too! She actually does a pretty good job of it although I think its just because she annoys them. I just let Tigger pretend that she is a big ferocious beast scaring all the deer off though 😉
So yeah…definitely a dog person. I love cats too but I've always had a closer connection to dogs.
Thank you for the post and giveaway 🙂

Hi Ann, I enjoyed your post today.
We have both at my house. My husband is the dog person, and I'm the cat person. I've always had cats. They're always so serene.
Hi, Ann! Love the sound of and the covers of your books. I have a cat now but I had a purebred Chowchow for almost 14 years. She was special and I still miss her.
As to shifters, a black panther or a wolf works for me. Please enter me in your giveaway.

I'm more of a cat person, but my boyfriend is allergic to them, so I've learned to love our dog.
As for shifters, I'd prefer cats too, though I'd not kick a werewolf out of bead. 🙂
thanks! jason [at] jasonkivela [dot] com
I like dogs, but I'm most definitely a cat person (funny, I'm also a Leo). Unfortunately, I'm wildly allergic to them, so I can't have one of my own. I have to admire them from afar. Of course, my favorite paranormal creatures are shifters of all kinds. I just love animals.

I am a cat person.I believe that cats are the most independent, cute and lucky creatures on earth. Just I love them!
Thanks for the giveaway.
