Inheritance by Christopher Paolini
Not so very long ago, Eragon—Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider—was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.
Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.
The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?
This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.
It’s a pretty quiet week for new releases. I would love to read the Christopher Paolini books but need to start at the beginning, I think. Is there anything here that has you tempted?
I really want to read the new Stephen King and Burial at Sea. But you're right it is pretty quiet this week.
Aaaah, INHERITANCE!!!
*can't breath, can't sleep, can't think*
I had waiting for that book so long, so curious with the ending and who Eragon will end up with.
lol ren
There are certain covers that I wish I could have in poster form, to plaster on my walls. Endurance is one of those covers. Badazzness embodied, that one.
…and surprise, surprise. Just did a checkeroo…Turns out Dan Dos Santos did the Endurancecover. Why did I not guess before that this awesome cover was done by that man's blessed hand? ^__^
Wait…..I've already read the As the World Dies trilogy. Didn't I? Did I only imagine reading the last two books? And if I did that, why didn't I invent a cover that kicks as much ass as this one?
Sooo confused! Clearly I need more caffeine. That'll fix things.
I'm still working my way through a gigantic TBR list. I'm glad this week doesn't offer much to snare my attention. Thanks for the post.
INHERITANCE is finally out! I have held off reading book 3 under I have this one, too.
Hm, ENDURANCE looks like a Dos Santos cover. I like THE ALLOY OF LAW which is a Chris McGrath cover (with John Paul Pfeiffer).
Nope, nothing on this list that I want to read. Which is a good thing, as I am still catching up with the latest arrivals.
