Hello my fellow Book Lovers how are you today? Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it today like me 🙂 How was your week? The upcoming week is yet again not crowded at all with book releases. There are a couple of noticeable releases like The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting and The Witness, the newest release by Nora Roberts, but we miss a loud BANG yet again. But beware, next week, there are so many scheduled releases to fulfill everyone’s wishes!
So, let’s start with this week’s Sunday Cravings!
Jackie: The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting
In the end, all that’s left is an echo…
Violet kept her morbid ability to sense dead bodies a secret from everyone except her family and her childhood-best-friend-turned-boyfriend, Jay Heaton. That is until forensic psychologist Sara Priest discovered Violet’s talent and invited her to use her gift to track down murderers. Now, as she works with an eclectic group of individuals—including mysterious and dangerously attractive Rafe—it’s Violet’s job to help those who have been murdered by bringing their killers to justice. When Violet discovers the body of a college girl killed by “the girlfriend collector” she is determined to solve the case. But now the serial killer is on the lookout for a new “relationship” and Violet may have caught his eye….
I really enjoyed the first book in Derting’s series, The Body Finder. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to read the second (Desires of the Dead) yet, but it would be nice to have the third book ready to go when I did; waiting for continuations or cliffhangers is not my strong suit ;). It is such a neat concept for a paranormal and I like the chemistry between Violet and Jay.
Alisha: Love’s Rhythm by Lexxie Couper
His music moves the world. Can his love move her heart?
Nick Blackthorne knows all about words of love. They’re the reason he’s the world’s biggest rock star. The irony? He turned his back on love a long time ago, lured away by the trappings of fame.
An invitation to a friend’s wedding is a stark reminder of how meaningless his life has become. When he enters that church, there’s only one woman he wants on his arm—the one he walked out on a lifetime ago. But first he has to find her, even if all she accepts from him is an apology.
Kindergarten teacher Lauren Robbins once had what every woman on the planet desires. Nick. Their passion was explosive, their romance the stuff of songs…and it took fifteen years to get over him. Then out of the blue Nick turns up at her door, and all those years denying her ache for him are shattered with a single, smoldering kiss.
But molten passion can’t hide the secret she’s kept for all these years. Because it’s not just her heart on the line anymore…and not just her life that’ ll be rocked by the revelation.
I’ve been getting into category romances quite a bit as of late, and right now I’m feeling in the mood for a “lost love” story. This one fits the bill perfectly. It even has a smexy rock star protagonist, which all but guarantees an exciting, intense read. ^_^
How about you Book Lovers? Which are your choices this Sunday?
That last one does make me crave it 🙂
Yeah! Whether it’s the cover, or the premise, or the simple fact that it features a yummy rock star….it grabs attention. ^_^
The Derting series sounds interesting. I’m always looking for a good new paranormal! 🙂
It’s a really interesting series believe me. Although the first book was way better than the second one. Just hope this one is as good as I expect it to be 🙂
Well, neither of those books are catching my interest. But that is okay, there are still so many books I need to read!
