Hey Everyone!
Since I don’t have anything interesting to tell you about my weekend (had to work on Saturday and so the weekend was painfully short for me 🙁 ), I’ll tell you about last weekend, when I was playing the role of Martha Stewart in the kitchen and turned it into a Pie Factory 😀 Namely I have been wanting to try out what a pumpkin pie tastes like (living outside the US I have never eaten it), so besides a beautifully scented pumpkin pie (it smelled like Christmas in my kitchen due to the cinnamon nutmeg and ginger combo) I also prepared a traditional apple pie. Both had tremendous success with the family as they didn’t survive the serving 😉 So now my enthusiasm for pies has morphed into obsession: I want a beautifully polka dotted pie pan and would give anything for a pie chain (which to this day I wasn’t able to find in Europe 🙁 ). So as you can see I live Pie-land at the moment, a delicious place for sure 😉
And how was your weekend? Ate/cooked/baked anything yummy?

I Loved your post, Stella! Pie – it’s what’s for breakfast in our house…well at least until it’s gone. LOL! We’ve raised 3 pie-lovers that request happy bday pie…instead of cake:) Our latest favorite type of pie is Sweet Potato Praline Pie…definitely yummy with the praline topping–which I double the recipe for since my DH likes to snitch the topping when he thinks I’m not looking!
Ooh sounds delicious C.H., I’ll have to check out that recipe, would you mind sharing it? 😉 I wish I could eat pie for dessert, the “problem” is it didn’t survive the next morning 😉 lol But I baked some banana bread this afternoon and will breakfast on that tomorrow 😀
Stella–Go on Ebay. Surely you can find a pie chain there. Happy baking; my favorite is a chocolate chip/bourbon/pecan pie. Mmmmm.
Oh that sounds sinfully delicious 😀 Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to check out eBay 🙂
Mmmmm… pie. lol Now I’m hungry 😀 Thanks again for the giveaway! I already shot you folks an email!
Hope you’ll enjoy the book! 😀
Congrats!
I love this season because the warmth of the oven gives me an excuse to bake more! I am a baking fiend during the holidays. I made 12 dozen cookies 13 pies 4 pumpkin rolls and 6 pans of brownies for Thanksgiving and a charity bake sale. I have a whole list for Christmas already of requested baked goods lol
