This week we agreed to do this post a bit different. All this fighting is seriously messing with our Book Lover harmony. Just kidding. 😉 But first, here are the stats of last times’ voting:

Today we will talk about upcoming books with gorgeous covers we can’t wait to get. As always we don’t agree about all of them but we will try to keep it tame this time but we can’t promise anything.
Caroline’s choice:
Susi: Ohhh nice books you have there. Haven’t read these series and I’m not sure if I would cuz of the covers. The Ghost Story cover is nice. I like the mist it makes it so ghostly but the guy looks strange. Should that by Harry? I so hope not. He looks like a homeless or an old cowboy. Not nice at all. I like the Razorland cover. It looks so nice steampunky and perhaps I will get it too. I will wait for the first reviews tho. Still not sure if Steampunk is something for me. We will see. And OMG the Pale Demon cover is fugly. What is wrong with the font and the color. And her dress is not my thing either. I like the lightning around her arms.
Caroline: Oh hon don’t make fun of my poor (soon-to-be-husband) Harry! You can’t see well but he’s next to HIS grave, he’s entitled to be a bit shaggy with all that happens to him lol. I love the cover of Ghost Story because for once it’s a very light one and if you’ve read the last book Changes you know this cover and title is important. *hugs Harry*. The cover for Razorland is SO pretty. I’m not much into YA but I’m sure I will read this one…come on this cover is fantastic. LMAO hon Pale Demon is NOT Fugly!! Ok her dress is not pretty but look at that power!! Lightning coming out of her arms! She is some bad-ass heroine. And we can see San Fransisco in the background.
Susi’s choice:
Caroline: Let me say now that I LOVE the cover fo Alpha!! It’s the most gorgeous of the series. Faythe is just amazing and it’s perfect. I cannot wait to have this book in my hands. *drools* The cover for Selfish is the Heart is pretty but a bit too simple. I think what I love best is the ‘H’ font in Megan Hart’s name. I like the cover of Magic at the Gate but it’s not the best in the series. It’s pretty though so I can’t complain. *wink*
Susi: I totally agree about the Alpha cover. It’s gorgeous and I can’t wait to read this one. She looks so mature and strong on the cover. Her posture screams Alpha and it’s just perfect. I love the Selfish is the Heart cover. I know it is simple but that fits the books just right. After all it’s all about giving the men solace and setting your own needs and wishes after that. The woman shouldn’t be the focus. I like her posture and the way she holds up her hair is just perfect. But I have to say her complexion is a bit too flushed. This way the contrast to the background is not enough. Perhaps they should have chosen a different color there but I adore the red so I love it nonetheless. I also really like the decoration of Megan’s name, too- it totally fits the series. The Magic at the Gate cover is pretty but I have to say it’s not my favorite in this series either. In my eyes Alli is way too thin but that’s the way she is- I just don’t like it. I love the gate in the background and her eyes look so strong. I can’t wait to read this one.
Susi AND Caroline’s choice:
Caroline: I love the cover of Killbox. Jax is both pretty and bad-ass looking. I’m not a Pink person but somehow it makes the cover even more pretty. When I first saw it the first thing I thought of was ‘I WANT’. Which leads us to the cover of The Perfect Play…OMFG I can’t stop drooling . SO sexy. I cannot wait to get this book so I can pet it for hours LOL. *drools*. Now about River Marked…I’ve always loved Dos Santos’s covers but this one is just perfect. I love it to pieces. Ok I admit it’s hard to miss that she has huge boobs…but well it’s a man who made it we shouldn’t be surprised lol. I want all 3 books! I want them now. I want The Perfect Play and River Marked to make book-babies together.
Susi: I love the Killbox cover. It’s my absolute favorite in the Sirantha Jax series so far. It’s just perfect. She looks strong and kick-ass. I like her hair. It’s so great to see her with longer hair. I love that she holds her weapons with so much confidence. Only looking at this cover makes me want to read this series again. Perfect. The Perfect Play is one of the hottest covers I ever saw. I’m not really interested in the sport aspect of the book but if the hero looks like that I’m game for everything. Okay perhaps not everything but nearly. He is so lovely sweaty and dirty he just makes me want to purr. About River Marked: Did I tell you how much I love Dan Dos Santos covers? I do with all my heart. They are gorgeous and they totally deserve to be framed. Pure art. I love her hair, her earrings and the way she holds her arm. Okay her boobs are big but Mr. Dos Santos is a man after all. I forgive him. I like the way his colors always fit and this time they sooth me. Wonderful how he can touch our heart with his work And I’m all for the book babies. LOL

Everytime I see the cover of "The Perfect Play" I lose the ability to think, speak, etc. This cover is just so damn hot and perfect.
@Sabrina You and Me both. Perfect cover. *purr* I'm thinking a lot of people agree with us =P
The arts department really did well on all these covers. I really like the Megan Hart one, it is simple but elegant & the red really pops.
Re: The Perfect Play. That is one gorgeous cover and the bod is outrageous but in real life I probably wouldn't find it attractive. Call me crazy, I know…
Yay me I won! Though I can't believe the German cover beat out that kick-ass Chinese one.
As for these covers…..I am irritated to say I think Ghost Story has the best design. Why irritated? Because I never could get into the Harry Dresden series.
Alpha looks nice though. Fully dressed, I can see her whole body, no tramp-stamp tattoo or gratuitous weaponry? Gasp! Looks like they are branching out on acceptable UF cover designs.
@Scorpio lol you're not crazy I'm not sure I'd like it in real life either …ok maybe we're both crazy. At least one of us is *points to self* 😉
@draconismoi Congrats again! and OMG the Dresden series is one of my favorite ever. O8O Let me tell you that the books keep on getting better and better. My least favorite are the first 3 in the series. Now it's orgasmic good *g*

@Scorpio M. Yep I agree about the Megan Hart cover. I adore the color red and tehre should be more red covers out there. These match my shelves in color. LOL
@draconismoi Congrats! I still think his name is confusing but I think only the German will have that probalem. Such a strange surname.
@pattepoilue Orgasmic? Did I miss something? I only heard you mutter Noooooo while reading the last book. No "yes, yes please" at all. LMAO Sorry my brain is fried from all the Economics stuff.

I'm loving Pale Demon. Not as big a fan of the cover for River Marked. I'm definitely going to read it (love the series) and it's really pretty, but it makes Mercy look a little skanky, which she very much is not.
Well I have to say that I don't think the cover of Pale Demon is that bad, not because I like it, but because the previous covers also depicted Rachel in skimpy and sometimes trashy outfits. *shrugs* But I really like the lightning!!
The cover of Alpha looks great! And I love how it suits the whole series (there's nothing worse than if the covers of the same series are completely different ugh..)
Oh My! The cover of Perfect Play is yummy!! If I had that on my shelf, I wouldn't be able to tear my eyes away :-p
Well I may be in minority, but I'm not really a fan of the Mercy Thompson covers, I much more prefer the UK ones, they are more sophisticated and special in my opinion.
