It looks like the rumours about a tablet is gaining steam with some reports hinting that Samsung has teamed up to do a Kindle Tablet which will run on the Android platform may be ready for release this summer. There has been several reports from tech blogs that think this may be genuine, and it looks like the tablet market is going to heat up big time especially if the rumours of the Kindle Tablet may be cheaper compared to the current tablets on the market right now.
We also have some fantastic and interesting upcoming covers.
I adored the cover for Karen Mahoney’s The Iron Witch and the sequel, The Wood Witch is even more prettier!
Two weeks after the events of The Iron Witch, reluctant alchemist-in-training, Donna Underwood, must face the consequences of her actions–actions that some believe make her a traitor.
At the same time, Donna’s iron tattoos are acting strangely and she experiences bleak visions filled with warnings of a coming darkness. When the Wood Queen steps into her life once more, it appears that Donna’s role in the centuries old war against the fey is very far from over–only this time it is her mother’s life that hangs in the balance...
I love this cover for If You Hear her by Shiloh Walker – and the blurb sounds great too!!!
The scream Lena Riddle hears in the woods behind her house is enough to curdle her blood—she has no doubt that a woman is in real danger. Unfortunately, with no physical evidence, the local law officers in small-town Ash, Kentucky, dismiss her claim. But Lena knows what she heard—and it leaves her filled with fear and frustration.
Ezra King is on leave from the state police, but he can’t escape the guilty memories that haunt his dreams. When he sees Lena, he is immediately drawn to her. He aches to touch her—to be touched by her—but is he too burdened by his tragic past to get close? When Ezra hears her story of an unknown woman’s screams, his instincts tell him that Lena’s life is also at risk—and his desire to protect her is as fierce as his need to possess her
The Vengeful Dead – book two of the Dead World series by J.N Duncan
And finally we have the cover for Immortal Rider the second book of the Lords of Deliverance series. I really really like it!
Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiancé wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.
Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?
Imagine my surprise when I saw that the Kindle is now directly available on the Amazon Germany site too. However, I don't think that the EPUB format will die (and I'm not just saying this because most of my eBooks are in that format, yikes) – I think sooner or later we will also be able to read EPUBs on a Kindle. And for now I'm happy with my no-name eReader 😉 !
I think that will happen – there was a rumour that the Kindle has the ability to host the epub format. But I do think the Mobi/Kindle reader will be the dominant ereading device now. Although things may change.
Such sad news about Beverly Barton. Thanks for the link.
Interesting covers. King is taking on the JFK assassination–Weird.
I am ecstatic that I will (soon) be able to read library ebooks on my Kindle. I almost chose another device because Kindle didn't have that capability, and I am very much a library user. I'm glad my gut reaction turned out right.
Hm, right now, I still am reading more ebooks on my laptop than my Kindle. Perhaps if I can read library ebooks on my Kindle, I'll finally accept the inevitable.
I haven't read any Stephen King in years and it seems I won't be starting any time soon either (1000 pages? Is he kidding?).
Love, love LOVE the cover of "Immortal Rider"!
Long Live ePub!
I LOATHE the Kindle – and it's corresponding format. Open source formatting for me.
