Hey Book Lovers! I am very happy to welcome back to BLI an author I discovered recently but who charmed me so much with one book (The Officer Says “I Do” ) that she became a favourite of mine instantly. Please give it up for Jeanette Murray, who as part of her blog tour celebrating the release of The Officer Breaks the Rules, the 2nd book in her Semper Fi series, is here today to tell you about her favourite fictional military heroes, yum! 😉 (And of course if you share with us your favourite fictional military heroes you could win a copy of The Officer Breaks the Rules).
Top Five Fictional Military Heroes
1. Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, played by Chris Evans. I mean, even before he got jacked up, he was a total hero. Throwing himself on that grenade (that was a …

Special-needs teacher Kayla Johnston writes off any shot at New Year’s Eve romance when she’s summoned to a fundraising event for her school at the remote estate of a wealthy would-be-donor. But when a massive snowstorm hits and Kayla careens off the road, the sexy stranger who rescues her brings to mind cozy fireplaces and steamy midnight kisses…among other things.
Reclusive entrepreneur Ryan Langford may be missing his own fundraiser, but being marooned in a cabin with Kayla beats ducking a room full of people after his money any day. Too bad she’s so irritated with the gazillionaire who ruined her New Year’s Eve that he feels like he has to lie about …
Today we would like to introduce you to new paranormal romance author Jocelyn Dex, who stops by to tell you all about her debut novel: Araya’s Addiction a steamy PNR story introducing her brand new Demons Do It Better series! 😉 So please give her a warm welcome, and if you answer her question you could even win a copy of the book.
Stella: Hi Jocelyn, welcome to Book Lovers Inc! Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Jocelyn: Hi Stella, thanks for having me! Well, I’m a huge animal lover. While writing, I have at least three dogs curled up next to me and one of them is always snoring. My favorite genre to write and read is paranormal romance – erotic or not. Oh and zombies scare the crap out of me. Yikes!
Stella: Are you a planner or pantser? Can you tell us …
Hey Everyone!
I might have mentioned last week that I am attending a wedding planner training on Sundays for 2 months and though I have to get up at the crack of dawn 6:20 am *yawns* the course is really interesting! So to get some work contacts and do some preparatory research for my final thesis today I am attending a wedding expo and hopefully will come home with a lot of cards and new contacts. 😉
Besides that my weekend was productive baking-wise: I did a double treat of orange meringue pie and folded cinnamon cake. Although it turned out beautiful we weren’t blown away by the orange pie as it wasn’t that special sweet and sour, so we’ll stick with lemon and lime pie in the future, but the folded cinnamon cake became an instant hit with the family! So if you want something …
We are happy to welcome back E.M. Tippetts, who stops by today to tell you about her latest book, Nobody’s Damsel, which is the sequel to Somebody Else’s Fairytale. Emily stops by with an exclusive scene just for the readers of Book Lovers Inc. and you could even win a copy of the book by commenting. 😉 So Emily, take it away…
My main character, Chloe Winters is very down-to-earth and low-key. She doesn’t like to draw attention to herself and isn’t big on daydreams or fantasies, so when Hollywood A-lister, Jason Vanderholt, falls for her, she wasn’t sure what to think. As it turned out, he was a good match for her and they’ve since gotten married.
All through the Great Recession, Jason has stayed at the top of the box office, both by doing good work and by being impeccably professional about his job, until …
Hey Everyone!
In my last rant post I told you how I hated New Year’s Eve, well guess what: in the past 2 weeks, novels set around that time of the year kept coming my way.
I read two of Entangled Publishing’s latest releases: Melting the Millionaire’s Heart by Linda Morris and Yours at Midnight by Robin Bielman, which are both true, 100% New Year’s Eve romances: the hero and heroine share a memorable and crucial moment during those famous countdowns before we ring in the New Year.
And despite not being a fan of the holiday (cough, understatement of the year…), I very much enjoyed these stories, which I believe is due much more to the captivating stories and the great writing, than the time they are set in.
Until now I can’t recall having …
Today we are happy to introduce you to newcomer romance author Christy McKellen, whose debut novel Her New Worst Enemy just got released! So join me as I got to ask Christy a couple of questions about the book, its characters and the things (and locations! ;-)) that inspired it. Hey Everyone!
Maybe it’s due to the grey snowy weather but this week it was pure torture getting up every morning 🙁 And since in my curiosity and enthusiasm to try out many things I signed up for a wedding planner course held every week on Sunday from 8 AM!! I won’t get any sleep this weekend either *yawns* Seriously, I have trouble understanding why anyone would put a class so early on the weekend (and since it’s at the other end of the city, I’ll have to get up 6:30 to get there in time). So the torture continues and what makes it even worse is that it is self-inflicted lol! I’m crazy I know. So I hope your weekend will be more restful than mine and that you’ll get some quiet time to relax a bit, and in my absence here are the lucky winners of this week:
Congratulations to
the …
