Today I am very happy to welcome to Book Lovers Inc and introduce you to Juliana Ross, the author of the wonderfully spicy historical romance: Improper Relations, released by Carina Press in April. Juliana didn’t come alone, she brought as special guest the heroine of Improper Relations, so please take a seat and get to know Hannah! (and thanks to Juliana’s generosity you could even get to know Leo, the hero if you win the copy of Improper Relations offered in the giveaway)
Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing Hannah, the heroine of Improper Relations. Don’t ask me how it was possible to reach back in time and speak directly with a woman born in 1829 – I have my ways. Let’s just leave it at that.
Juliana Ross: Thank you so much for agreeing to speak with me.
Hannah: You’re most …
Hey Everyone!
This past week we have been more than lucky: it was sunny and hot, summer-hot with 30C! Everyone took out their sandals and summer dresses (my favourite part of summer along with painting my toenails with some popping coloured nail polish) and enjoyed the early summer feeling 😀 And due to the warm weather trees and flowers are in full bloom which is fortunate since today is Mothers’ Day here. In my neighbourhood the big lilac bushes/trees are full of purple, lavender and white sweet smelling flowers, so it’s a treat walking home. Today I’ll be making the rounds, visiting my mom and my grandma, bringing them flowers and cake. What are your Mothers’ Day traditions? How do you usually spend the day?
This week we had some terrific prizes, I’m sure the winners will be more than happy with them 😉 So let’s see who were …
Today I am very happy to welcome back to the blog the wonderful Lila DiPasqua‘s whose steamy fairy tale inspired historical romances are hot enough to set the pages on fire and romantic enough to make you sigh with pleasure. The 4th book in Lila’s Fiery Tales series Undone was just released and if the gorgeous cover is not enough to tempt you I can tell you the story is extraordinary as well! (Don’t believe me? Read my review.) So it is with great pleasure that I interviewed her (poor Lila had to go through dozens of questions and she did them all with grace and a smile), this time we discover which fairy tale is her personal favourite and how she choreographs her steamy love scenes. So read on to discover more about Lila DiPasqua and her wonderful novels! (and of course there is …
Hey Everyone!
Being the Latin Lover, as ‘Nomen est Omen’ (the name obliges), you might have guessed that I’m a fan of Latin: both the language and the rich historical culture.
So it came as quite a shock when I realized that despite my love for historical romances and interest in Ancient Rome, somehow until very recently I have neither read nor researched HRs set in Ancient Rome. I wasn’t even aware there was such a category (I know, unbelievable!) so I had no idea what I was missing out on.
But then in February I stumbled upon Georgie Lee’s Mask of the Gladiator which I LOVED! Not only was it a terrific story, but it opened a whole new horizon and made me aware of a new subgenre of historical romance. Since then I keep seeing other HRs set in Ancient Rome emerge: My …
Hey Everyone!
After a very busy week (there were days or rather nights when I got home from work after 11 pm) I am finally on vacation! A mini-vacation per se, but a vacation nonetheless. A couple days I can spend with my family chilling and reading (well so far didn’t really do any of the last 2 as we spent the last nights talking until dawn with my sister 😉 ).
And thankfully I won’t have to work until Wednesday, so for once I am not gloomy that it is Sunday (despite the gray and rainy weather…) 😀
This week a lot of giveaways have ended, you know that means that a lot of people will get a great surprise: an e-mail notifying them of their win in their inbox! So let me tell you who won this week.
Congratulations to
the lucky winner of an …

Protecting the vice president’s daughter is Secret Service agent Mason Russell’s top priority. With the election looming and the party’s hold shaky, Mason’s been given an important assignment – rein the controversial party girl Blake Hewitt in.
He’d like to rein Blake in all right. Keep her under his control and naked beneath him at all times. Blake is the sexiest thing he’s ever seen but she’s strictly off limits. Though she tempts him like no other.
Banished from the capital and sent far away to the family’s vacation home, Blake seizes her chance. She’ll …
Today I am happy to welcome to Book Lovers Inc. romance author Karen Erickson, who besides being a prolific writer is also an adventurous one: she has experimented and written contemporary romances, historical romances, paranormal romances, fantasy romances, erotic romances, and any combination of these 😀 Karen is celebrating the release of Under His Protection, the 1st book in her new romantic suspense series featuring Secret Service agents (and let me tell you they are definitely delicious alpha males), so please give her a welcome and there is a wonderful giveaway for you if share with us your reading preferences.
Stella: Hi Karen, welcome to Book Lovers Inc! Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Karen: Well, I’m a mom of three, a wife to one and the owner of too many cats. I’m a native Californian who lives about an hour below …
Hey Everyone!
The week was busy with work (I even had to work on Saturday ugh) but thankfully next week will whoosh by equally fast, because come Friday I’ll fly away to spend 4.5 days with my family and hopefully then I’ll be able to recharge my batteries and sleep and read!! So I’ll be charging my Kindle and taking all those books I have yearned to read the past couple of weeks (like Deep Dark Secret by Sierra Dean, Somebody to Love by Kristan Higgins and My Wicked Gladiators by Lauren Hawkeye and many more!).
Today I have only 1 winner to announce (I know, we haven’t had such a quiet week for a long time), but no worries, there are 5 giveaways going on, so next week there will be lots of winners, enter before it’s too late!
And now, let’s …
Hey Everyone!
It has come to our attention (thanks Amanda for pointing it out) that lately there has been a real billionaire hero boom in romance novels. No, of course I’m not saying this is something new, wealthy, obscenely rich, exotic heroes were always à la mode for category romances, it’s only that in the past couple of weeks we have read novel after novel featuring one of them (like Weekend Agreement, The Marriage Bargain, Blackmailed by the Italian Billionaire just to name a few). So we wondered what is it about rich heroes that makes them such a popular choice?
Nina Croft author of Blackmailed by the Italian Billionaire even asked readers for their opinion and here are some of their answers:
Gaby: I think it’s because usually money gives a man power, and women don’t like powerless …
Today I am happy to welcome back to Book Lovers Inc. Maggie Robinson, author of the deliciously steamy historical romance Courtesan Court series. Until now the 3 previous books all depicted the story of a heroine living on the courtesan street, so it is interesting to see that for the fourth and final book in the series Maggie Robinson deviates and tells the story of a tortured hero who made an appearance in a previous book as an almost villain! *gasps* Yes! So you can imagine my surprise and curiosity regarding Master of Sin (my review will be posted tomorrow). Please give Maggie a warm welcome, read on for an exclusive previously unseen bed scene between the hero and heroine of Master of Sin and if you leave a comment you could even win a copy!
A Conversation (in Bed) with Andrew and Gemma
Andrew: You wouldn’t even …
