The Short Winner Post

Hey Everyone!

Another sunny Sunday and I am happy to report that the wonderful summer weather still holds: yesterday afternoon I read put in the sun and even got a tan! Imagine sunbathing in October, I’m amazed at the beautiful weather and hope it holds for a few weeks more 🙂

Other news, as of yesterday I’m on study leave to prepare for my first bar exam and won’t be back to work until November, the only challenge besides having to learn and review all that amount of books and laws is that I’ll have to seriously limit my time online, because we very well know how once you get online (and check e-mails then Twitter) it just sucks hours off your day. *le sigh* But as long as it’s sunny outside it’ll be easier to study. I hope.

Anyway, today I have only one winner to announce (but don’t forget to …

Too late for cold feet

Baron Edward Christie prided himself on his reputation for even temperament and reserve. That was before he met Caroline Parker. Wedding a scandalous beauty by special license days after they met did not inspire respect for his sangfroid. Moving her to a notorious lovebirds’ nest as punishment for her flighty nature was perhaps also a blow. And of course talk has gotten out of his irresistible clandestine visits. Christie must put his wife aside—if only he can get her out of his blood first.

Too hot to refuse. . .

Caroline Parker was prepared to hear the worst: that her husband had determined to divorce her, spare them both the torture of passion they …

Interview with Maggie Robinson + Giveaway

Today we would like to welcome to Book Lovers Inc. Maggie Robinson who is here to celebrate the release of Mistress by Marriage, Book #3 in her Courtesan Court steamy historical romance series!  (You can read my review of the novel here.)

Hi Maggie, welcome to Book Lovers Inc! Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Maggie: I’m a big homebody and live on a lake in Maine. We’ve got four grown kids, three grandchildren and one on the way! My family has been hugely supportive of letting me stay in my nightgown until late morning writing away. When I get out (and get dressed), I love to garden and sit on the dock to read. Of course, that’s hard to do during a Maine winter.

Stella: Describe a typical day of writing? Are you a planner or pantser?
Maggie:Oh, pantser, pantser, pantser. Am awful at planning. I …

Romance and Me: Military Romance

Today I’m here to tell you a secret. Last week I was in a crazy frenzy. You know the kind when all you can think about is how fantastic a story was and you keep thinking about it long after it finished.

Want to know what started it? I read a novel which opened my eyes and made me discover a whole new world of romance stories: the military romance subgenre!

And after my crazy enthusiasm for said novel I went on a Goodreads rampage and searched for hours and hours becoming more and more enthralled by all the wonderful novels and series I found in the genre! Who knew military romance existed? And that it was so mindblowingly great?

If you think the military romance subgenre can be swept under the “romantic suspense” category you are mistaken. This is so much more than that! Let me tell you why…

I have always loved novels and movies …

The Back to School Winner Post

Hey Everyone!

We have been lucky this past week as the sunny summer weather decided to stay, so I was able to enjoy wearing my sundresses for one more week and I really hope we’ll have a mild and very sunny autumn. That is my favourite season: when the leaves start to change and everything is colourful, when the weather is still nice and warm enough so you only need a sweater or a blazer but it’s not so hot you are melting (=sweating) like in summer. I always liked September when I was younger: the excitement of school starting, of seeing my friends again, of buying all the school supplies. Yep, I very much liked going to school 😀 (I’m not saying there weren’t times when I wished school was over and I did my share of playing hookie, but I enjoyed learning).

But anyway, I’ll stop my rambling about …
