Horror author, James Herbert sadly passed away this week at the age of of 69. His works has influenced other authors and has sold over 50 million copies which included books, The Rat, Haunted and Fluke. He also recently published his latest book, Ash which came out last week.
Romance novelist, Danielle Steel has announced she will be writing an illustrated Children’s book, which is a huge departure from her previous books and genre. The book which is entitled Pretty Minnie in Paris which follows the antics of a chihuahua in the French city. Wow this week we have had major news shaking up publishing and ebooks, so it is a bit jam packed issue in today’s news post.
The biggest and most contraversial announcement though has to be HarperCollins’ announcement that their ebooks would be restricted with a 26 borrowed limit. As you can imagine this has ignited the ire of many librarians and their patrons about this because the limit is set at such a low level.
