Thrones of Desire is a place where lust and legend abound, and adventure, passion and danger entwine. Think mystical lands and creatures, kings and queens, knights and renegades, heroes and villains, warlords, maidens and princesses. Think battles and danger, honor and dishonor, good and evil. Most of all, think hearts filled with passion and secret desire. This is a place where romantic chivalry is alive and well, but so too is romantic wickedness. This is a place where the good do not always win, and the bad are often more captivating and desirable than their altruistic counterparts. …

Stella: Hi Lee, welcome to Book Lovers Inc! Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Lee: Hi Stella! Thank you! I was born and raised in Baltimore MD before leaving at 18 to go to college in PA. From the age of 7 on up, I studied the Korean martial arts and find it a great way to release stress, learn discipline, and learn to protect oneself. I also grew up playing music in the school …

If you think that Game of Thrones on HBO just isn’t sexy enough, Mitzi Szereto has a collection for you! Thrones of Desire: Erotic Tales of Swords, Mist and Fire is a collection that was definitely inspired by the series, but may owe a little to all those suggestive fantasy covers of yesteryear. Except in these stories, the things those covers suggest really happen, and a whole lot more.
Mitzi’s here to tell us about the collection, her own writing (including the mysterious adventures of a teddy bear!) and host a giveaway!
Marlene: Hi Mitzi, welcome to Book Lovers Inc! Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Mitzi: I guess I’m a bit of a Renaissance woman. First off, I’m an author and anthology editor of multi-genre fiction and non-fiction. I have my own blog “Errant Ramblings: Mitzi Szereto’s Weblog” (http://mitziszereto.com/blog), which covers pretty much whatever I feel …

McKenzie Lewis has a gift. It allows her access to a world few have seen, and even fewer can comprehend. It’s her secret. And it exists in the shadows…
McKenzie was a normal college student, save for one little twist: she’s a shadow reader, someone who can both see the fae and track their movements between our world and the Realm. It’s a gift for which she has been called insane, one for which she has risked family and friends—and one that has now plunged her into a brutal civil war between the fae.
With the reign of the king and his vicious general at an end, McKenzie hoped …
Greetings, book lovers! I have to admit, I’m particularly excited about today’s interview. Why is that? Well, because I get to talk about the world of Sandy Williams’s Shadow Reader series. The first book, The Shadow Reader, was an awesome debut novel that very rightfully garnered wide acclaim. (Check out my review of The Shadow Reader) The sequel, The Shattered Dark, is (fortunately!) going to be released on October 30, 2012.
However, I’m not interviewing Sandy Williams today, no no. As fantastic as that would be, I instead have the great honor of chatting with Aren, one of the major figures in the Shadow Reader series. If you’re not already familiar with Aren, here’s what’s you should know about him: he’s a warrior of the fae Realm, having fought for years in the resistance against the fae king Atroth…and later, those that would see the king’s oppressive ideals persist. Aside …

Today on Book Lovers Inc. it is my pleasure to welcome historical fiction author James Forrester, who also writes non-fiction under the other parts of his name, as Dr. Ian Mortimer. Historical fiction authors and aficionados may know him best as the author of The Time-Traveler’s Guide to Medieval England.
And considering how compelling his first work of historical fiction, Sacred Treason (review here) turned out to be, it might seem as if Ian James Forrester Mortimer took himself on that time traveling trip to Medieval England. He certainly takes his readers there.
But in the here and now, he answered a few questions for us. And at the end of the interview, there’s a chance for you to win a copy of Sacred Treason.
Marlene: Do I call you James or Dr. Mortimer? In either case, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Ian-James: Call …
