Good afternoon everyone,
As you may have seen my Once Burned review went up this morning, so I thought that with that review going up I’d pose some discussion questions for anyone who has already read/is reading Once Burned and would like to discuss it:
Do you think that Leila’s “innocence” was handled appropriately? It wasn’t really the first time cliche we’re used to in romance.
Are you a classic Dracula fan? Do you like how Frost portrayed the character?
What did you think of the explanation for Leila’s powers? Was it adequate enough for you?
Naturally if you have any discussion questions feel free to post them in the comments for everyone to have a go at answering and lets see if we can get a big discussion going.
Also make sure to vote for next months Book in the poll on the sidebar.
Happy Reading!

Good afternoon everyone!
Here are the July selections for the Book Club. As voted by you guys the theme this month is Werewolves!
Need by Carrie Jones (Goodreads Link)
Pain shoots through my head. Fireworks. Explosions. All inside my brain. The white world goes dark and I know what’s about to happen.
Zara White suspects there’s a freaky guy semi-stalking her. She’s also obsessed with phobias. And it’s true, she hasn’t exactly been herself since her stepfather died. But exiling her to shivery Maine to live with her grandmother? That seems a bit extreme. The move is supposed to help her stay sane…but Zara’s pretty sure her mom just can’t deal with her right now.
She couldn’t be more wrong. Turns out the semi-stalker is not a figment of Zara’s overactive imagination. In fact, he’s still following her, leaving behind an eerie trail of gold dust. There’s something not right – not human – …

Once Bitten by Jeaniene Frost
After a tragic accident scarred her body and destroyed her dreams, Leila never imagined that the worst was still to come: terrifying powers that let her channel electricity and learn a person’s darkest secrets through a single touch. Leila is doomed to a life of solitude…until creatures of the night kidnap her, forcing her to reach out with a telepathic distress call to the world’s most infamous vampire…
He’s the Prince of Night…
Vlad Tepesh inspired the greatest vampire legend of all—but whatever you do, don’t call him Dracula. Vlad’s ability to control fire makes him one of the most feared vampires in existence, but his enemies have found a new weapon against him—a beautiful mortal with powers to match his own. When Vlad and Leila meet, however, passion ignites …
Good moaning every one (see the Allo’ Allo’ reference I just did there),

Jane True Series by Nicole Peeler
In the tiny village of Rockabill, Maine, Jane True—26-year-old bookstore clerk and secret night swimmer—has no idea that her absent mother’s legacy is entry into a world populated by the origins of human myths and legends. It is a world where nothing can be taken for granted: vampires are not quite what we think; dogs sometimes surprise us; and whatever you do, never—ever—rub the genie’s lamp. For Jane, everything kicks off when she comes across a murder victim during her nightly clandestine swim in the freezing winter ocean. This grisly discovery leads to …
Hello again! *waves*
So the big moment is here, the first round of the Book Lovers Book Club choices!!
I have decided to start the book club off with something we’re all familiar with: Urban Fantasy – Vampires
Most of us have at least one of the following books on our shelves, so I figure it will be a good way to start us off.
Night Rising by Chris Marie Green (GoodReads Link)
In this first book of an all-new trilogy, life proves stranger than the movies when a Hollywood underground coven of vampires comes to light-and gets targeted by the tough-as-nails daughter of a sexy screen siren.
Stuntwoman Dawn Madison hasn’t been on the best of terms with her father since her movie star mother died. Still, he is her dad, and when he vanishes while investigating the bizarre sighting-caught on film-of a supposedly long-dead child star, she comes home to Tinseltown to join …
I hope your Monday went as quickly as mine.
This is just a quick reminder post to get your suggestions in for the Book Lovers Book Club!
I will be putting up two polls next week made up of all the suggestions we receive and as long as we get enough suggestions we’ll be able to do a new genre every month! (At least that’s what I hope at this stage)
1st book club: Stand alones or First in series suggestions for any genre! Any format (graphic novel, audio book, paperback etc)
2nd book club: Series suggestions – any genre, series must be finished or finishing up within the next two to three months (so we don’t run out of books)
Happy Monday!
Hello everyone!
So the girls and I have been throwing around the idea of doing a book club for a little while now and naturally we would love to get all of our wonderful readers involved.
The book club will be a monthly event, a new book will be chosen (by you guys) every month within a different genre. But first we need some suggestions!
Each book that you suggest must be either a stand alone or the first in a series. You can suggest any genre, any author, any anything! Just leave your suggestion Tile + Author in the comments below. I want all kinds of genres! Nothing is off limits here. (Please someone suggest some graphic novels! I have fallen in love with them, and I would love for the rest of the girls to fall in love with them also)
We are also going to do a secondary book club …
