Charlaine Harris’ Harper Connelly books looks like will be heading to the small screen because it has just been picked up and will be adapted into a television series which will be produced by Ridley and Tony Scott for CBS! Congratulations to Charlaine!

Great news and huge congrats for Leanna Renee Hieber! She has sold a YA series to Sourcebooks.

The second part of Halloween edition will be on October 28th.

This week post will consist of some upcoming horror novels I am hoping to keep my sleeping at night. Some of these may scare readers but then again, these books mention below might what someone love to read. Even if some of these novels won’t be released until after Halloween, they do sound like a great read!

Google is preparing the release of its UK version of Google Editions and has talked to several UK publishers to publish their books on this platform. Google has stated it would be working with the Agency model but whether this would be brought on board in the UK remains to be seen especially since Hachette is currently the only publisher that has signed up to this model.

Bookish Rants or Raves: My First Book Conference!

When I first started book blogging at the end of last year, I never thought I would have gotten as far as actually going overseas to attend a book conference.

Well, here I am, a Brazilian staying at a friend’s house in Upstate New York fresh out of the Authors After Dark Romance Unlimited Conference.

One of the first people I met online was author Stella Price. We became online buddies and she started talking about this conference she was organizing and right away my ears perked up and I felt like this was something I’d love to go to.

At the time I was living in Israel, but I had already started making plans. By April I had moved back to Brazil, but the plans kept on building and as fate would have it, it all turned out great.
