We are very happy to have Vicki Pettersson here today. She’s the author of the Sings of the Zodiac series and here today to talk about her newest release Cheat the Grave (review can be found here). She also offers a huge prize pack for one lucky commenter so be sure to read till the end. Please give her a warm welcome. The Geeky Lover: Hey Vicki. So great to have you here. Perhaps we should start with a few essentials: Tell us a bit about yourself?
You know, I met a woman the other day who was my age, also nearing the fourth decade of her life, and who had also been born and raised in Las Vegas. It’s funny how meeting someone like that is akin to running into an old relative. You have the same recollection of events …
My inspiration for our virtual tour this week comes from my recent delve into Oedipus Rex (which I reviewed on my personal blog here.) While finding actual pics of what Greece looked like circa 429 BCE, when Sophocles originally wrote this tragic play, is difficult, the Greek civilization is one that has endured, evolved and been remembered for thousands of years. We can still readily find architecture and landmarks that highlight the ancient aspects of their culture, but also see what Greece has become over these millenia. Everytime I see articles in magazines featuring this stunning country (yes, the shiny pictures always grab my attention), I sigh and think, “One day…” So, feast you eyes on Greece and travel with me, vicariously:

When I moved to Israel I knew that there would be a huge book deficiency but it didn’t really matter that much because I always found a book I could read and when I went to visit my mom I got to go on a huge book shopping spree. Also the books here cost tripple if not more of their price in dollars. When I found that out I decided that Amazon or Book Depository were my best choices. 😛
This easter I had the genius idea to buy a Kindle when I went to visit my parents. I realized really quickly how much I loved the Kindle because of the fact that I could read my book as soon as i bought it and I could travel with many books in one device making my bag alot lighter.
When I got …
