Midnight Enchantment by Anya Bast
A quest for freedom might be derailed by their intense passion…
Niall Quinn, mage and the finest thief in the Black Tower, is the fae’s best hope for freedom. Only he stands a chance of tracking down and retrieving the missing bosca fadbh pieces from the Summer Queen. But he meets his match in Elizabeth Cely Saintjohn, who has taken control of the pieces on the Summer Queen’s behalf—and has refused to give them up.
Elizabeth is an asrai, a rare English water fae, and she may be the only one in Piefferburg stealthier than Niall. She has her own reasons for guarding the two pieces and wanting the walls of Piefferburg to remain intact—even if it means denying her fae sisters and brothers their freedom. Her mother’s life depends on it.
Torn between his duty to obtain the pieces at any cost—and the …
Think you know winter? You don’t know winter until you’ve checked out the dry, frozen depths of Antarctica, friend. So says author Natalie Anderson in her latest book, Melt. In this sweet tale, two icy, closed-off hearts start to thaw after they meet and get to know each other in one of the most icy, closed-off places on earth. Today at BLI, Natalie talks a bit about her inspirations behind the Antarctica-based book, and she shares some of her commonalities (and differences!) with the characters she created in this story. Please give her a warm (pun intended ^_^) welcome!
Alisha: In your book Melt, you describe all types of things about Antarctica: the various modes of transportation, the facilities, the types of people and functions found there heck, even some of the social functions! How do you know so much about this place?
Hello my fellow Book Lovers! How was this week for you? Hope you all spend a wonderful weekend and you are ready now to face a new week with your batteries full!
The coming week is again full of some really exciting new releases that again, we had a hard time picking just one! So let’s start and see which are our Sunday Cravings for the week to come 🙂
Lea: Breakaway by Deidre Martin
They had it all planned out: college, marriage, happily ever after. But it didn’t quite work out that way…
Erin O’Brien was everyone’s favorite in Ballycraig, while Rory Brady was the town’s golden boy: the local lad who moved to America and became a professional hockey player. Rory promised to return to sweep Erin away to the life of her dreams in New York. But the bright lights and late nights turned his head and …
Welcome back to the café! Sadly, we were closed last week due to medically induced forgetfulness, so I apologize profusely. (Darned cold meds!) But now, it’s back to business as usual.
I hope everyone has had a great week and will be able to find some well needed reading time over the weekend. Personally speaking, there never seems to be enough time in the day to get things done, so I appreciate it all the more when I get the quiet time needed to read and relax. It’s just pure bliss!
Now’s the time to list your giveaway and I’m sure that there will be a lot out there that are romance themed. We’re a mushy bunch here at BLI, so we love the lovin’ 😉 And remember to let us know if you’ve won anything recently that you’ll get the chance to read now. The Book Lovers would …
Welcome to this week’s news post and we have a humdinger of an edition this week. With news of the editor leaving Dorchester who are struggling, Barnes and Noble refusing to stock any books being published by amazon and a slew fest of news on books and new series on the horizon!
First up, the major news this week broke that Chris Keesler who was the only remaining editor at Dorchester has left the struggling publisher. Dorchester has also reportedly failed to pay royalties and other payments to past authors and in some cases caught selling copies of books whose rights have been reverted to the author. I think this is pretty sad because Dorchester was behind a few of my favourite authors and books and I got a funny feeling that it wont exist for long according to what I am hearing about the publisher. But I would also be …
Today the wonderful Ann Mayburn is here to celebrate the release of her newest title Sodom and the Phoenix. She will tell us about her Virtual Seduction series and how she came up with the idea. She also brought a hunky dude so prepare yourself for a bit of drooling.Make sure to answer her question at the end of the post for your chance to win your own copy of the book. Please give Ann a warm welcome.
Ten years ago if you had told me that I’d have a computer as thin as a kids book with a touch screen I would have told you to stop smoking crack. What if ten years from now you find yourself making a reservation at a 5 star resort devoted to making your every fantasy a reality, virtual reality. Sounds crazy, but with as quickly as our world is …

We talked a while back about the British peerages, but when reading through historicals, we quite often see the French titles mixed in with the British (English?) ones. The reason for this comes mostly from the royal families attempting alliances through the marriages of their sons and daughters.
In my first search through the information, names popped up like “Cleves”, which was the surname associated with the Count of Nevers. It’s also familiar because it was connected to one of Henry VIII’s wives, though Anne of Cleves was of German desent. (Henry VIII was considered to be “King of England, France, and Ireland” so it’s no surprise that his name would pop up, but also because he’s a subject I’ve looked into a lot over the last year :-p ) I’m sure though, that somewhere in Anne’s family tree, a connection would be made to that French house …
