Welcome to this week’s news post! I hope everyone had a great Halloween! This week brings news major developments with Amazon announcing a lending library to Prime customers and leaked details of the upcoming Nook Tablet as well as upcoming books/covers and tidbits in the world of books!
The news that has made waves over the past few days is the announcement from Amazon about a lending library which will consist currently of 5000 books, some by bestselling popular authors to Prime customers. The lending is restricted to the hard devices like the Kindle and customers wont be to use this feature with desktop or phone apps and that only one book may be borrowed a month at a time. I think this is pretty savvy of Amazon and I suspect it is to help take away the wind off …

Why should men always have the power of choice when it comes to love? Is it right that we women have no choice but to sit and wait for a man decide to honor us with his declarations–usually uttered in the form of a demand? And all we as women may do is say “yes” …
Ahem, please don’t look at the mess
This week it’s my turn to show you some of my shelves! I thought I’d show you what my very tricky TBR-shelves look like. See, my parents think I am crazy for getting so many books all the time. They asked a few times if I read them as fast as I bought them. I don’t outright lie…I just don’t tell them these shelves are reserved to the TBR-books *wink*
I’m pretty sure they’d have me interned if they knew. Even more if they realized that these shelves have TWO rows of books! LOL So today I’ll show you what my parents can see…and what’s hiding behind the appearances 😉
The only single row shelf is the one reserved to Hard Covers. *cough* Ahem…the Dating for Dummies was a gift (Thanks Christine! lol). Mr Moose is the TBR-Shelves …
Hey Everyone!
In the past couple of weeks I read two novels where the heroes were widowers and it got me thinking.
Lately I have seen this new trend in historical romances that more and more heroines are made out to be widows instead of innocent virgins, so that the story and the hero can get to the steamy seduction part faster since the heroine has already been introduced to the world of “carnal pleasure” (even if of course with her first husband it was just “meh”), but these two novels made me realize, that I haven’t come across any widower heroes… until now.
The interesting part was that one of these novels was a contemporary, funny romance (Until There Was You by Kristan Higgins) while the other was a historical romance (Romancing the Countess by Ashley March). But basically both made me ponder the same questions and issues …
Today we are happy to welcome to Book Lovers Inc. Claire Robyns a globetrotter author like you don’t come across everyday! Claire grew up in South Africa, visited Zimbabwe, Mozambique and right now besides living in England loves to discover the sights of Europe! I bet she could tell us about her adventures. But today she is here with us to tell you more about her latest novel, Second-Guessing Fate, a light and funny contemporary romance recently released by Carina Press. So come join us in celebrating Claire’s new release and tell us about your take on fortune-tellers and psychics and you could win yourself a copy of her book! Please give Claire a warm welcome and now I’ll cede the blog to her.
Thanks to Book Lovers Inc. for having me over today. Second-Guessing Fate is a fun and flirty contemporary about a girl, a guy, best friends and fortunetellers.

I loved Hearts in Darkness and was wondering about this one. I’m not usually a m/m/m/f sort of fan, but it’s been getting some good reviews and I really, really like Laura Kaye’s voice.

I was drawing a blank on where we would tour this week. We’ve seen a lot of great places from all around the world, but my recent reads are starting to duplicate locations. And then came Carolyn Crane. Both Susi and Caro have been squeeing so much over Ms. Crane’s latest release (on audiobook, so far), Head Rush. I decided to see what all the commotion was about and have begun the series with book one, Mind Games.
Early in the book, Cubby tells Justine that he has been awarded a trip to Belize and he wants her to go with him (despite only dating for two months.) Guess what? We’re all going now too! So, sit back and have a look at these stunning pics:
I’m not sure how things fair for Cubby and Justine …
