Welcome to our new sexy edition of The Good, The Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me? This week we’re sticking to these 3 categories and applying them to Ménage covers! We’ve found that successfully portraying Ménages on covers is not always easy. Or maybe we’re just picky. Who knows! Be prepared for the best and the worst!
Reminder: We’re just talking about the covers and not about the books’ content. Some great books have horrid covers and vice-versa. 😉
Ménage on a cover: The good and the Bad and the Are-you-kidding-me?
The Good Sandwich:
Caro: I know we’ve already talked about the Tart cover so I’ll ust keep it short and say I love it. Now I just discovered the cover of Double Time and I love it too! It’s soft and sexy. I love the colors I love how they skin looks so soft. 2 thumbs up!

Welcome or should I say Howdy! Yes you’ve heard right this week in our new edition of The Good-The-Bad-and-the-Are-You-Kidding-Me? we’ll be talking about cowboy covers! We’ll be honest this post was inspired by Susi’s cowboy addiction of the week. Let’s say she’s been gobbling down Lorelei James books and I fear we’ve lost her to the Cowboy-Fever *wink*
So what makes a good Wild Wild West cover? We aren’t sure but while we thought about it we came up with some genre tropes that cover artist love to use. Some book would actually fit more than one trope but we choose the most fitting one. So buckle up ladies and come take a ride with us. Yeehaaa!
1 The Hat
What would a cowboy be without a Stetson to accompany the tough as nails look.
Caro: I really like the Maya Banks cover, it’s pretty and not overdone. On the other hand we have …
Welcome to our new edition of The Good, the Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me? This is the place where we let our shallow side rules and we do judge books by their covers (ok we’re just judging the covers but still!!). This week’s theme came from the cover reveal of Playing to Win. Pervs Admirers of the male body that we are, we couldn’t help but start discussing how easily a man chest on a cover can turn from super sexy to very disturbing. Here’s the result of our little bit of research 😉 I know man chest on covers are not universally loved so it’ll be a good excuse to discuss the topic!
Disclaimer: We were THIS close to using all the cover in the Play by Play series, because let’s be honest they rock! But we’ve been good girls and we kept looking for other covers. *await the head-patting* *purrs* …
Today we have some highly anticipated novels and their covers in tow. After religiously stalking author websites, we were so excited about some of them that we just had to bring them up to your attention. The ohhhhhing, awwwwing and squeeing unnerved most of the people around us so we had to find another outlet. 😉 It’s a varied mix of genres but well you know how these book addictions work. So take a drink and join the discussion.
Caro: Alright so I read the Mortal Instruments series a few years back and I have to admit I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t relate the books if I read them now. But I can’t help but want to read City of Lost Souls. I mean come ON!!! Jace and Clary embracing on the cover? YAY They both look AWESOME! It looks romantic. *sigh*.
Same thing with The Taken. I have been traumatized by …

Welcome to our Holiday edition of The Good The Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me? Since we started the final countdown to Christmas and yes since we’re hosting a Holiday Challenge (HERE), we thought we should take a look at covers of Holiday/Xmas themed new releases. Sexy contemp romances:
Susi: Okay first thing: I so don’t like the font on the Cari Quinn cover and when they use snowflakes in red it doesn’t look very nice. In all the cover is just too full and the christmas baubles looked more like eggs on first sight. LOL Made me go a bit O_o
Hmm, the Kennedy cover is just christmasy cuz the title has christmas in it. …
Welcome to a new week of The Good, the Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me? This week’s topic pretty much jumped at our feet! It’s by pure chance that I saw a pretty review copy of Fool Moon on Netgalley and I knew I had to read it! I just couldn’t look away from such a pretty cover. So it was only logical that we would start talking about graphic novel covers with you today! We chose covers of series we know and loved/hated.
Susi: The Dresden cover is awesome. When I compare that to the usual old Dresden covers- let’S say it’s just wow. I have never read any of the Dresden books so I can’t say iof the guy fits the descriptions but well this cover …
Herzlich Willkommen everyone to this weeks edition of coversnark. We will venture into the deep and ugly sphere of German book covers. You will see the unbelievable today (not joking here) but we also got some nice ones in tow to soften the damage we will cause your eyes.
We advice to read on with caution- you will never be able to undo the damage. Keep in mind that no authors had a say in these covers and we should all offer our condolences for them.
Caro: I’m not really sure why the publishers still think adding bats is a good idea. Yes we get it, these are vampire books O_o Sadly none of the Brothers can turn into bats. *sigh* The covers aren’t ‘Bad’ but I’m …

So here we are ladies and gentlemen, the best and worst of the new French covers .
