Format Read: ebook provided by author
Number of Pages: 144
Release Date: May 13, 2012
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Publisher: Circlet Press
Formats Available:  ebook, paperback
Purchasing Info: Goodreads, Powells, BookDepository

Book Blurb:

The Drag Queen of Elfland is a collection of fantastical stories imbued with a refreshingly queer sensibility. These seventeen stories feature a lesbian werewolf taking back the night, a gay vampire discovering the perils of going to the gym (too many mirrors, for starters), a young lord’s son undertaking a quest to obtain a magical sword and win the heart of the boy he loves, and much more. Sometimes funny, sometimes moving, sometimes sexy, and always imaginative, these stories show readers the secret worlds that lurk beneath the surface of our own.

My Thoughts:

Excellent! An uneven number of stories. There won’t be a tie like last time.

As before, each story will get a blurb, and a + or – indicating if it’s …

Interview: Andrea Kane-Virtual Book Tour + Giveaway!

The Book Lovers are thrilled to welcome Andrea Kane to BLI today. Andrea is here on the next stop of her virtual book tour in celebration of the release of the second book in her enthralling suspense series about the Forensic Instincts criminal investigations team. The book for the tour is The Line Between Here and Gone, but I’ll confess that I poured through the first book, The Girl who Disappeared Twice and The Line, in two days with not much sleep in between. They’re that good!

About Andrea Kane

Andrea Kane’s psychological thriller The Girl Who Disappeared Twice became an instant New York Times bestseller, the latest in a long string of smash hits.  It introduced Forensic Instincts, an eclectic team of maverick investigators, each with different personalities and talents, all with one common bond: a blatant disregard for authority.

The Line Between Here and Gone is the next exhilarating installment in the Forensic …

Sunday Cravings

Hello everyone? How is this weekend for you so far? Mine is hot and not as in sexy hot but as in “I can’t even breathe from the high temperature and humidity” hot. The only good thing from all that is that I try to stay inside so, I have more time to spend reading 🙂

Next week bookwise is poor. Not many titles are hitting the shelves giving us some time to manage our overflowing TBR lists. So, for this week’s Sunday Cravings I will have a surprise for you. Since Stella was away the previous week and she didn’t have the time to share her Sunday Cravings at the time, we will revisit the previous week with her and her choice of book 🙂

Let’s start!

Marlene: The Ravenous Dead by Natasha Hoar

This time the dead are hungry…

Guest Post: Big Girls Don’t Cry…But do Bad Boys? by Diane Alberts + Giveaway

Hello all and welcome to today’s guest post with Diane Alberts! Diane is becoming a fast favourite around here. Today, she comes to us with a little insight into Jeremy, the main character in her novella, Try Me, and some true life examples of what really goes in the hearts of Marines. Take it away, Diane:

———-

Big Girls Don’t Cry….But do Bad Boys?

Anyone can probable tell, from looking at the cover of Try Me, that Jeremy is a bit of a bad boy. He’s got a body worth drooling over every single day (at least, I have been!) and the tattoos to match. Ah, and we can’t forget the dog tags around his neck. Not only is he a bad boy, but also he’s a Marine. Go ahead and look now.

Nice, right? But besides the hotness, there is a lot more to Jeremy. The same can be said …
