Today we are very happy to welcome back to BLI and have her join our big celebration party Zoe Archer, the author of many fantastic and diverse romance novels. Zoe wrote the Blades of the Rose historical adventure romance series, Collision a sci-fi romance and her new upcoming release Hellraiser will be a paranormal romance! It seems Zoe is keen on trying out all different subgenres of romance as she has so many stories to tell. But we readers can only rejoice at that! 🙂 Please give a warm welcome to Zoe, who will share with us how she came to fall in love with reading and writing romance stories.
My mom taught me how to read when I was four. She’d been a preschool teacher, and an avid reader, so it made sense that she would be the person …

I read for the HEA as well, but Paul Marron has a lot to do with my enjoyment of romance novels.
I was one of those people who didn’t read romances in their youth. While my friends and my family members were reading romances, I was reading mysteries and sci-fi. In college, I did read some Harlequins but all those young …
We are happy to welcome the wonderful Keith Melton to our Book Lovers United celebration today. Keith is not only a great author he’s also my secret little author crush (please don’t tell bf *wink*). I haunted the Tucson Public Library as a kid, ghosting through the stacks, slipping like a silent shade past rows of books that towered above me like idols built of ink and paper. The air smelled of musty books and metal shelving. I’d peer at the titles arranged on the shelves, pull them gently from the packed rows, read the back blurbs, and scrutinize the cover art on books I’d …

It’s a sailor’s life for me!
Yep, I say that from experience. I sailed a lot with my family as a kid. But my new Regency historical romance has nothing to do with sailing. It takes place in the Highlands of Scotland. Charlie’s a visiting Englishman–Daisy’s a Scottish lass. And yes, there’s a loch.
But no one gets on a boat.
Too bad! I don’t know what I was thinking–I will definitely get a boat into one of my next novels in my new series!
Today our special blogger guest is the wonderful Alisha from My Need To Read. She is a wonderful and heartfelt person who always brings a smile or two to my face. She is a wonderful reviewer too. (you really should check out her great blog). Alisha will tell us about 5 books that rocked her world and well I have to agree with her choices. Be sure to leave a comment for her and you might win a sag pack. Detail at the end of the post. So now, take the mic Alisha!
To even glance at my book blog, it’s fairly obvious that I’m all about the genre fiction. ^_^ These days I’ll read just about anything that has an element of the fantastical, surreal, or absurd, but that varied taste was developed over time, with a small handful …

I got my love of reading from my mother and grandmother. As a little girl, they used to read to me all the time, and I loved it. (I still love to have someone read aloud to me — the hubs does this regularly, usually what we call News of the Weird, which, knowing me, should surprise no one.)
Being read to was great. However, even …
