As we say here in Germany “Rache ist Blutwurst!” (Revenge is Blood Sausage!) some author’s jumped up and screamed yes when we said yes you can actually grill us in return for all the evil questions we threw at you all year. So here is what Blutwurst looks like- we were actually forced to answer them all twitter style (140 characters or less). Please welcome today’s interviewers: Cathryn Brunet and Stephanie Julian. And if you endure it there is a surprise at the end. 😉
Cathryn Brunet: Do you compose a review of the book in your head as you’re reading or do you just try to enjoy (or not) the story?
Susi – The Geeky Lover: Depends. I take notes for review copies but just enjoy my pleasure reads. And …
As you can see we, the Book Lovers, are still on ‘vacations’. Today’s Author takeover will be performed by Author Susanna Ives, who will take us on a tour to Regency London! Thank you Book Lovers Inc. for letting me participate in your Blogoversary
A few months ago, Caroline wrote me with the idea of writing a blog post about London as seen through the eyes of my heroine, Henrietta, in Rakes and Radishes. However, I’ve been so immersed in a Victorian project, that I’m afraid I’ve lost Henrietta’s voice.
So, I’ve combed the pages …
Ever wondered how author’s try to come up with a guestpost topic? Please welcome the Bree part of Moira Rogers here at Book Lovers Inc today and see how she tries to rock our Blogoversary. Be sure to take our challenge at the end for your chance to win a book.
I don’t always like to write guest blog posts. When I’m on my blog, I can post pictures of cats wearing funny hats and not worry that my relatively silly nature is going to bring down the tone of the place. My blog is, after all, a pretty silly place.
When I’m thinking about being on someone else’s blog, the pressure kicks in. I can’t just talk about cats wearing funny hats! I’m supposed to be a serious author! I must think of something profound and witty to say, or …
Today author Carolyn Crane is taking over Book Lovers Inc and her mission is to mislead…ahem…tell you some more or less interesting facts about you Book Lovers. She just couldn’t pass on her chance to tell you the TRUTH about this team. Be sure to double-check her facts and you might win a prize pack!
Hi everybody, and happy blogoversary to the Book Lovers!
As part of the Authors’ takeover for the fabulous Book Lovers Inc, I’m here with a quiz about the writers and reviewers behind this blog.

The first thing we have to say is *please cover your ears*
SQUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Can you believe it already has been a year? We can’t really.
So what better chance for me as the Geeky Lover to talk numbers. *Muahahhaha* This year practically flew by but in retrospective we achieved a lot. We published a total of 719 posts, with 226 of them being reviews. OMG I would have never thought it would be that much but yay! We also had some authors over at here and 82 of them were tortured by our, sometimes not so easy, questions (but believe me some of them got their revenge *big sigh*). Another 42 guestposts complete the list of people we will be always thankful for. But not only the authors made this possible. We found 678 kindred spirits and yes all of our readers deserve the …
Nora Roberts has joined the Million copies sold on Kindle club and joins the ranks with Stieg Larrson and James Patterson. The Bookseller reports that she has sold more than 1,170,539 Kindle books under her Nora Roberts and J.D Robb pseudonym! Way to go Nora!
According to Price Waterhouse in the UK, they have predicted that the UK ebook market growth will increase ten-fold during the next five years. However there is a caveat warning stating in their report that that growth will be sluggish compared to their US counterparts who are more open to the digital format whilst the the UK publishers are reluctant in embracing this new market. Personally I think with agency pricing emerging in both the US and the UK, I doubt that point is right but I do think that non agency publishers will …

And since we had a lot of giveaways, I have tons of winners to announce!
Sooo congratulations to… drumroll please…. *Susi grabs two plastic …

Ok so, a while back I talked about Bookish OCD, now I want to talk about keeping yourself organized when it comes to writing down the books you’ve read, need to read, review, etc…
I’ve found myself trying to be organized more and more. Last year I started keeping a spreadsheet of the books I read through 2010 and even though I stopped adding to it about halfway through the year, I did catch up in the end.
This year I started a 2011 spreadsheet and I’m actually adding the books I need to read for review and the order I plan to read them. I’m hoping to be more organized this year than I was in 2010 and stick with it. Goodreads and LibraryThing have both been amazing in helping me keep track of my books as well as FictFact, …
