Welcome Gini, Kitty and Jeff.
Gini: Thanks, it’s great to be here.
Kitty: Likewise!
Martini: You know, you have a deadline.
Gini: Thanks for reminding me. Prepare for some torturous adventures later.
Martini: Just trying to be helpful.
Gini: As if I need the additional pressures?
Kitty: Jeff, leave The Creator alone.
Gini: Yeah.
Martini:I hate it when you both gang up on me.
Gini: Oh, it always works out for you in the end, so stop whining.
BLI: Could you all three please tell us a bit about yourself?
Kitty: I’m a regular girl …
Dear BLI readers and followers!I would like to draw your attention to quite a frequent and serious misregard of the rules of the giveaways:
usually to be entered in a giveaway you are required to
1) leave a meaningful comment/question
AND
2) leave a way to contact you (either e-mail, Twitter name, etc.)
However, many fail to do part 2) and without a way to reach you, you become ineligible to win! For today’s 3 giveaways, I had to draw 8 names, because the first 3-4 lucky people didn’t leave any way for me to reach them! And that is really a shame since their comments were great and genuine. 🙁
So pretty please leave us a way to get in touch with you, or else how could we get a hold of you to tell you you are the lucky winner and ask for shipping …
Hunger GamesBook 1By: Suzanne Collins
Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, “The Hunger Games.” The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When her sister is chosen by lottery, Katniss steps up to go in her place.
So I have been racking my brain on who i think would play the perfect Peeta. I have a thought in my head of what I think he would look …
According to Publishers weekly over 20 percent of readers, now own an ereading device and buying more books due to this. In a few years from now this figure will almost double and just adds credence that ebooks will be a popular format, compared to print books.
The Bad Sex Awards winner was announced, and Rowan Somerville has won the dreaded award for describing a nipple a ‘nose of the loveliest nocturnal animal, sniffing in the night.’ – From his book The Shape of Her. Somerville personally accepted the award, and stated –
“There is nothing more English than bad sex, so on behalf of the entire nation I would like to thank you.”
Past winners include, Tom Wolfe and Norman Mailer. I do find it interesting and ironic the majority of winners have been men and …

Book Blurb:
Randall Stone is the stuff of heroes, a mercenary given a discharge from the army he has served with his life. But the government is still interested in using the skills they’ve taught Major Rand Stone, and he continues to work with his hand-picked team. Into his shadowy world a light has come, and in her love, Stone discovers unhoped for joy, and, perhaps, unbearable sorrow?
My Thoughts:
I had high hopes with this novella because the summary and premise looked very similar to the books by Lisa Marie Rice and Shannon McKenna who write sexually intense romantic suspense. But after a few pages in with this novella, I …

Unrepentant Blood Suckers
I’ve noticed a trend in paranormal romance that I’m not sure I enjoy; the tendency to make vampires lament their state of being. To fight their natural instinct to drink human blood because they think it’s morally wrong. Just look at Stefan from Vampire Diaries. Up until recently in the show, he refused to partake of human blood even though it made him weak and unable to protect his love interest properly. Damon, his brother, on the other hand relishes the taste and doesn’t make any bones about it. Personally, I like Damon’s …
Hey everyone! Recently I have been thinking a lot about the act of reading. It looks like something so simple and innocuous, but I feel it is anything but.
As a reader I tend to give a lot of myself to any book or book series I am reading and if it doesn’t connect with me, it will be a uphill battle to get to finish it.
One of the most important aspects of reading is the mood. I can have a ton of amazing books in my TBR, but if I am not in the mood to read a certain genre, I will avoid it as much as I can.
Take YA for example. For the last few months I haven’t been able to feel almost any excitement about YA novels and have only been able to read a couple. I don’t …

Book Blurb:
Dash thought himself alone, a soldier, a fighting machine and no more.
Elizabeth made him realise he was a man.
Danger surrounds the woman his soul marked as his mate, death and blood and treachery that go beyond even his worst nightmares. But he will protect her and what she claims as her own. He was created to kill, trained to do it efficiently, and only a man bound to her, heart and soul, will have the strength to save Elizabeth and her prized possession.
My Thoughts:
You don’t really read Breeds books for their riveting plots, but for me Elizabeth’s Wolf was just too far-fetched in how she brought the pair together.
Dash is a soldier, a …
I’ve been on a historical fiction kick lately. I’ve been watching the Tudors on TV and collecting books that cover this time period. But, I delve into other times also. I’m a total Arthurian geek, I love reading about other cultures and their history, and when you throw things like famous artists/works of art into historial Venice or France, I’m hooked.
But why do readers keep going back to different time periods? What is so attractive to us about eras of oppression, disease, and no indoor plumbing?
Well, in reading Historical Fiction in the context of romance novels, it fulfills every little girls dreams of marrying her Prince/Duke/King. The rogue royalty that seems to never want to settle down into marriage but finally does with the most unlikely …

After the massacre at Vampire Academy, Rose Hathaway faces the most task of her life and she knows that she must do it alone. With Mason departed for the other world, Rose must hunt down and kill Dimitri Belikov, the man she most loves.
The fourth nail-biting episode of Richelle Mead’s popular vampire series dramatically shows the fatal power of a promise.
My Thoughts: I found Book #3 (Shadow Kiss) completely mindblowing and didn’t think the next book Blood Promise could make me feel as many emotions (angst, frustration, joy, heartache) just as vividly, but I was wrong. Blood Promise …
