Interview Author Gini Koch, Katherine Katt and Jeff Martini + Giveaway

According to Publishers weekly over 20 percent of readers, now own an ereading device and buying more books due to this. In a few years from now this figure will almost double and just adds credence that ebooks will be a popular format, compared to print books.

I’ve noticed a trend in paranormal romance that I’m not sure I enjoy; the tendency to make vampires lament their state of being. Hey everyone! Recently I have been thinking a lot about the act of reading. It looks like something so simple and innocuous, but I feel it is anything but.

As a reader I tend to give a lot of myself to any book or book series I am reading and if it doesn’t connect with me, it will be a uphill battle to get to finish it.

One of the most important aspects of reading is the mood. I can have a ton of amazing books in my TBR, but if I am not in the mood to read a certain genre, I will avoid it as much as I can.

Historical Fiction: What’s the continuing fascination with the past?

I’ve been on a historical fiction kick lately. I’ve been watching the Tudors on TV and collecting books that cover this time period. But, I delve into other times also. I’m a total Arthurian geek, I love reading about other cultures and their history, and when you throw things like famous artists/works of art into historial Venice or France, I’m hooked.

But why do readers keep going back to different time periods? What is so attractive to us about eras of oppression, disease, and no indoor plumbing?
