Today I am happy to welcome to Book Lovers Inc. Nina Croft, author of sci-fi and paranormal romances. Recently she released a sizzling contemporary romance set in sunny places with a dashing hero, so of course I was curious to hear more about what inspired Luc, the irresistibly charming rogue of Blackmailed by the Italian Billionaire (you can read my review here). Please give Nina a warm welcome and answer her question to be entered to win a copy of her novel.
The Lure of the Mediterranean
I think one of the things I’ve always loved best about reading romance is being transported to fabulous, exotic places—preferably hot.
I’m English, and I grew up in a small town in the north of England, in an area known as the Lake District. It was a beautiful place, but the sun rarely shines and it rains …
Hey Everyone!
After having had to work last weekend I’m still trying to catch up with everything (yesterday I was running around trying to fit everything into one day: yoga, lunch at my grandma, dance class (haven’t gone in the past 6 weeks eek!), house warming party at a friend of mine, then movie night with a friend), so this weekend wasn’t about relaxing for me yet. I hope with next week’s long weekend (can you believe Easter is already here?) I’ll get some quiet reading-sleeping time. Until then we still have to survive this week and my little sister will come to visit, so I’ll be a happy bunny!
But until then let’s just see who were lucky this week:
Congrats to…

Hi there, book lovers! It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you romance author Barbara Wallace. She’s stopped by BLI today to talk a bit about her award-winning contemporary romance, Weekend Agreement (which I loved! – check out my review here), including the book’s long journey through many incarnations to its excellent present form. Please show Barbara a warm welcome!
———–
Stella: I’ve read on your site about your journey to becoming a published author and saw that A Weekend Agreement is the Golden Heart winner manuscript you submitted in 2007. Can you tell us about how the story came to be back then and why it only got published now? Has it changed much compared to the original prize winning version?
Barbara Wallace: It’s apropos that, the week they announce the Rita and Golden Heart finalists, I’m writing about my Indulgence release, Weekend Agreement.
Hey Everyone!
After a little break Romance and Me is back but this time we are not talking historical romances but a much debated and controversial romance trope: love triangles!
Love Triangles seem to be “in”, wherever you turn it seems every novel or movie features them, from the Twilight saga to the new Hunger Games movie it is everywhere.
And everyone seems to have their opinion about them, you either love or hate them, there is usually little middle ground.
I would say I am pro-love triangles. Maybe it’s because until now I have only encountered ones where
1) it was crystal clear to me with whom the heroine would end up, and
2) I was rooting for that hero.
Of course if I preferred the underdog hero maybe I’d have to revise my statement regarding love triangles (I’m …

Staid professor Lissy McIntyre believes that choosing a mate should be based on common sense, not runaway passion. And she would certainly never pick a rolling stone like Nick Richards for long-term love. But a red-hot, tropical romance? Oh, yeah. He’s got a body just made for sinning and his sizzling kisses leave her senseless.
When Nick blows into town, he’s stunned to discover that his no-nonsense new neighbor and co-worker is the same sultry creature he seduced for one night of forbidden island pleasure. He’s unaccustomed to staying in one place for long, but he just can’t seem to keep his hands off the multi-faceted woman. Will Nick break loyal Lissy’s …
Today we are very pleased to welcome Annie Seaton to Book Lovers Inc. Annie’s first two books Holiday Affair and Winter of the Passion Flower both released on March 15th! Annie is here today to talk about the inspiration for her beautiful locales in her stories.
Stella: Your descriptions of the exotic setting were very evocative and vivid, have you been to the Whitsunday Islands on a sailing trip? (If not, why did you choose this exact location? any special reason? What inspired it?) Or did any other of your own experience, travels inspire details of the novel?
Annie Seaton: I am so pleased that my description of the exotic setting in the Whitsunday Islands evoked a response and my words translated into vivid pictures for the reader
