Hey Everyone!
How was your weekend? Mine was super busy: it was my dad’s 60th birthday so on Friday I took a plane at 6am (meaning I had to get up at 3am to get in time to the airport) and spent the past 3 days with intense family events and nonstop celebrating! We ate so much I feel like if I don’t eat for at least 3 days I still will feel full. lol. 😉
Now I would need at least 2 days to get some rest but work will resume tomorrow with another long week *sighs* Well until then here is this week’s winner:

I know, I know I’ve disappeared from the face of the Earth and the blog, or so it seemed to you but life has been busy. I went on vacation, then when I got back had no internet for about a week (yep, just love how efficient my cable provider was…NOT!), then I had job interviews, gave notice at my old job, went on dates and organized a wedding (not mine, lol, my best friend’s). The Ice Cream Making Winner post
Hey Everyone!
As I’ve told you last week we have particularly hot weather. When it cools down we have 35-36 C degrees, but yesterday during the midday hours in the sun it was 43 C! That’s hot enough to melt. So to survive the heat and cool down I’ve been making a variety of ice creams: from mango coconut sherbet, to minty watermelon popsicles, to tricolor coconut-raspberry-mango frozen terrine, and my latest plan is to make these lavender peach sangria popsicles. (Just a warning though if you decide to make these recipes, I’ve found that the quantity of sugar written in them was way too much, I usually used about 1/3 of the original quantities.) Don’t they look tempting? Yum! 😀 So before I go off to slurp some popsicles, here are this week’s winners:

The Heatwave Winner post
Hey Everyone!
I don’t know how the weather is in your corner of the world, but for the past weeks we had unperturbed sunshine and hot summer days with the usual 30-33 C degrees, but this weekend Mother Nature turned up the heat and grilled us with 38-40 C! And not living in a tropic or Mediterranean climate let me tell you this is very unusual and too hot. So I spent the weekend home chilling, doing laundry and making ice creams. 😉 Sounds like a great time, doesn’t it? Well it was except for my neighbours who decided to start vacuuming at 7am on Saturday! Seriously, who does that?? Anyway this week’s winner is… *drumroll please*

The Birthday Party Winner Post
Hey Everyone!
Sorry this post is so late but I have a reason: well practically I was too busy having fun to bother (LOL 😉 ), but with full disclosure: it was my best friend’s birthday Friday and we have been celebrating (and partying) all weekend long, so I wasn’t home near my laptop. My best friend turned 29 and she felt it as a death sentence, so I was busy cheering her up, but happy to report: mission accomplished and we had a blast! (and had so much cake!) 😀 So I had a terrific weekend, laughed and ate so much, and now I’m loathe to soon start the week and work :-/ Well before we get to that let me announce our sole winner this week:

Winners…12 Points! : The Eurovision Edition
Hello everyone! I’m taking over while our Latin Lover is on vacations. Last night was the 2013 edition of the Eurovision song contest. If you’re not from Europe you might not know this super kitsch contest. Each Euro country has 1 contestant and we get to vote for our favorite. It’s mostly fun to make fun of the stupid song.
I think the weirdest contestant yesterday was the guy from Romania. Please look at this awesome performance! lol
