Hey Everyone!
Sorry no great story to tell today. Thankfully we didn’t have any more snow, so no further snow shovelling for me, it has been sunny but freezing cold. Lately I have the doubt that I’m in a reading low. I haven’t had the high, excitement and enthusiasm I tend to have when reading great stories. I am bored and easily irritated with the story and characters. And I have the feeling it’s maybe not the stories’ fault but my being short tempered. Maybe I’m worrying for nothing and it’s all due to the fact that my exam is drawing near and it’s stressing me out on some subconscious level and not letting me enjoy too much any pleasure read, so next week I’ll have to go on another reading ban. For the last week before my bar exam, I forbid myself to read anything I would enjoy as I fear I …
Hey Everyone!
I don’t know what’s the weather like in your part of the world but this past week it has been fricking icy cold here. I’m not talking I-need-to-put-on-gloves cold, but my-fingers-are-frozen-and-I-cant-feel-them-even-in-gloves-after-five-minutes kind of Arctic cold! And as I don’t live in Canada I’m not used to these freezing degrees, especially not during the day (-15 Celsius or even less)! Brr… But today it snowed! And not just some fluffy snow flakes, nope. It snowed and snowed all day, the whole neighbourhood and city is covered in a white fluffy blanket and as I don’t have to get out in the city (the peaks of being in isolation on study leave) I don’t mind that much. Sure I spent most of yesterday’s afternoon shovelling snow so we could get to our mailbox, but in a way it was so peaceful to see all this undisturbed and soft whiteness. If it keeps …
Hey Everyone!
How is your weekend so far? Mine was busy with family events and lots of eating. Yesterday I visited both sets of grandparents, and as is their custom they just fed and fed me. I ate so much I was still completely full this morning, so no need for breakfast or early lunch lol.
Other than that it finally looks like a relaxing weekend with lying on the couch, reading and watching Castle (finally got around to discover this series and I am hooked!). So it’s a relaxing, lounging Sunday for me, oh and I almost forgot I’ll also have to bake a capuccino cheesecake in the afternoon for my mom :-)D
So what are your plans for today? Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about today’s lucky winners, here they are!

Christine
who commented on our post: ‘Romance and Me: Holiday Romances“‘
“Sure, some of them can be too sickeningly sweet and cheesy, but somehow around the holidays cheesiness is tolerated a bit more, don’t you think?”
YES!!! I feel the same way!
I started reading Christmas themed books–and Christmas romances, in particular about two years ago and this third year has pretty much set this new tradition of mine into stone. It really helps awaken the Christmas spirit in me as I start to read these types of stories in December. I can’t imagine NOT reading at least one Christmas romance this time of year anymore!
Congrats hon! I just sent you an email. Please email us back in the in the next 72 hours to claim your price.

Hey Everyone!
Christmas is almost over (except at our place where due to the extended family we are Christmassing until Dec 29 or so usually :-)).
Sadly my sisters’ exams start early this year so they are leaving today. Our house will be so quiet 🙁 And I’ll have to start studying for my second bar exam as well, so I’m not happy at all that Christmas has gone so quickly. *sighs* At least I’ll have our beautiful tree up until the end of January, as it’s usually my task to take it down and put away all the ornaments and decorations. And you know what is my special traditions? I organize a Christmas un-decorating party! I invite a bunch of friends over, we listen to Christmas songs, drink eggnog, we relish the festive atmosphere in late January/early February and take down all the Christmas decorations together. I …
