I am completely fine and I celebrated my recovered health and freedom by attending a cupcake class where we learned how to decorate cupcakes with colourful fondant and marzipan. You can see my creations in the photos:

The Spring Awaiting Winner Post

Hey Everyone!

I have had enough of frosty mornings and icy wind. I want sunshine and warmth, to be able to sit outside and soak up the sun and the sweet scent of flowers or freshly cut grass.  The past week has been a roller-coaster  Monday and Tuesday mild with sunshine promising longer days, then the icy cold came back in the second part of the week. I don’t care for winter wonderland snowy landscapes and ice skating, I’ve had enough time to enjoy my nice scarf and gloves, I want to shed my thick winter coat for my cute and colourful blazers and trench coats! The Wedding Expo Winner Post

Hey Everyone!

I might have mentioned last week that I am attending a wedding planner training on Sundays for 2 months and though I have to get up at the crack of dawn 6:20 am *yawns* the course is really interesting! So to get some work contacts and do some preparatory research for my final thesis today I am attending a wedding expo and hopefully will come home with a lot of cards and new contacts. 😉

Besides that my weekend was productive baking-wise: I did a double treat of orange meringue pie and folded cinnamon cake. Although it turned out beautiful we weren’t blown away by the orange pie as it wasn’t that special sweet and sour, so we’ll stick with lemon and lime pie in the future, but the folded cinnamon cake became an instant hit with the family! The Sleep-deprived Winner Post

Hey Everyone!

Maybe it’s due to the grey snowy weather but this week it was pure torture getting up every morning 🙁 And since in my curiosity and enthusiasm to try out many things I signed up for a wedding planner course held every week on Sunday from 8 AM!! I won’t get any sleep this weekend either *yawns* Seriously, I have trouble understanding why anyone would put a class so early on the weekend (and since it’s at the other end of the city, I’ll have to get up 6:30 to get there in time). So the torture continues and what makes it even worse is that it is self-inflicted lol! I’m crazy I know. Hey Everyone!

I hope you have all successfully survived the first week of 2013, it was quite torturous getting back to the office (and getting up so early…) after such a long time spent away due to the holidays 🙁 But thankfully we only had to work 3 days and the weekend is here 😀 With my enthusiasm lately for pies I have received pie beads from my sister, so I’ll have to put them to use and whip up something delicious, any suggestions?
