BDSM: A Conversation With Eden Bradley (a.k.a. Eve Berlin) + GC Giveaway!

Eden Bradley / Eve Berlin

Welcome to Part III of BLI’s Kink in Erotic Romance: Forbidden Fruit or Guilty Pleasure? series.

I’m very excited about the next two segments of the series because BLI is welcoming special guest author Eden Bradley aka Eve Berlin who was kind enough to share her valuable time for an extensive conversation about the BDSM Lifestyle and it’s incorporation into erotic romance.

Eden Bradley/Eve Berlin is a full-time author whose many books are published by Harlequin Spice and HQN, Berkley Heat, Bantam/Dell, and Samhain Publishing. She has been reading and writing for as long as she can remember but became serious about her writing in the summer of 2000. She wrote romance novels, since that was what she thought she could sell, but eventually returned to what she truly loved: writing erotica, and eventually blended erotica …

Elements in Lit 201: How to kill a Zombie

I’ve been hitting the Historical Romance themed posts pretty hard recently, so I thought I’d go in a very different direction today: the most effective ways to kill a zombie.

I hadn’t really thought much of zombies before, not seeing how a book could be interesting with just a bunch of re-animated corpses running around. But, my opinion has changed greatly with my new found love of the TV show, The Walking Dead, and also having listened to Max Brooks’ World War Z. What solidified my change of heart was a viewing of Shaun of the Dead the other night. Quirk in the apocalypse? For the win!

The thing that has fascinated me nearly as much as the personal stories of survival in these fictitious renderings, is the tools used for self-preservation. I thought we’d take a look at what weapons work best when faced with a brain eating mutant.

Book Blurb:

Alan Reece, an unassuming animal doctor from the West Country, was surprised to discover that he had become the link between reality and the strange world beyond. Unfortunately, ripples from his unwitting transformation have freed a dark and terrible creature from its improbable prison.

My Thoughts:
Past Tense reminded me of the old “Doublemint Gum” commercial. Because it was two, two, two books in one.
And you might think that’s a terrible joke, but it fits with the snarky tone of the first part of the book. Fully realizing that everyone’s taste in both humor and snark varies widely. And wildly.

The beginning of the book takes off about a year after Marsh’s first book, Soul …

The Good, the Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me?

Welcome to our new sexy edition of The Good, The Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me? This week we’re sticking to these 3 categories and applying them to Ménage covers! We’ve found that successfully portraying Ménages on covers is not always easy. Or maybe we’re just picky. Who knows! Be prepared for the best and the worst!

Reminder: We’re just talking about the covers and not about the books’ content. Some great books have horrid covers and vice-versa. 😉
