Today we welcome to Book Lovers Inc Stacey Kennedy, whose newest release Supernaturally Kissed has hit the shelves on December 5th and believe me when I say it, that this book is unlike any paranormal romance you have read! (You can read our dual review here.) Stacey is here with us today to tell us in her own words about her new release and what makes Supernaturally Kissed such a unique paranormal romance title.
So, let’s give Stacey a warm welcome! 🙂
WOOT! SUPERNATURALLY KISSED has arrived! Is it your typical urban fantasy romance read? Not likely. The hero is a ghost, which comes with a whole slew of problems including that he can’t touch the heroine.

I’ll tell you it took some really creative thinking on my part …

Come heck or high water, Gracie Snow is determined to drag the legendary ex-jock Bobby Tom Denton back home to Heaven, Texas, to begin shooting his first motion picture. Lothaire by Kresley Cole
From the humblest of beginnings a millennia ago, Lothaire the Enemy of Old rose to power, becoming the most feared and evil vampire in the immortal world. Driven by his past, he will not rest until he captures the vampire Horde’s crown for himself. The discovery of his Bride, the female meant only for him, threatens to derail his plot.
Elizabeth Peirce is a mere mortal, a glaring vulnerability for a male with so many blood foes bent on annihilating anything he desires. Yet soon he discovers his Bride’s secret. A magnificent power dwells inside the fragile human, one that will aid his quest. But to possess that power, he will have to destroy her. Will Lothaire succumb to the torments of his past, or seize a future with her?

Today, we’re heading back State-side to visit Wilmington, North Carolina. This lovely city, situated on the Cape Fear, has cropped up in several of Nicholas Spark’s books, including Message in a Bottle and Dear John. It was also the area in which Dawson’s Creek was filmed and is home to Screen Gems studios, which if you’re a movie fan (read: credit reader) like myself, you’ll know what that means.
Let’s take a look to see why its scenery has been such a popular location for filming…and writing about:

It’s the quiet ones that take you by surprise.
Beth Danube’s emotionally abusive husband is dead and buried. So is her heart. It’s no big deal, she has all she wants: her three little boys and a fresh start in a small Alberta town. What she doesn’t want is another man in her life—not now, maybe not ever.
After ten years of unsatisfactory, missionary-position sex, she never expected her libido to reawaken. One look at sex-in-boots Daniel Coleman in a Calgary bar, though, blows the dust off her sexuality.
Sensing an edge of desperation, even fear, beneath …

Welcome to this week’s news post and for the first week of the New Year it has certainly been eventful with another YA author and reviewer meltdown of epic proportions and with news that Barnes and Noble is thinking of spinning off their Nook side of their business. We also have excerpts and covers of books to watch out for!
I thought since last year’s whole YA Mafia brohaha would be the last of this type of thing for awhile – but a Goodreads reviewer, Kira faced the wrath of the agent of author Julie Cross and some YA authors because of her negative review on Tempest. However this wasn’t the last of the fuckery – oh no. It …
