The housekeeping has been done, so each contest listed below should still be in action. Now’s the time to sit back, grab your fave beverage (personally, I’m a big fan of the café latté), and maybe even a pastry too, and start perusing the currents links or add your own. Bon appétit!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Holiday weekend in the US! This week we have some goodies! They include some hotly awaited books and eye raising news about Amazon purchasing The Book Depository.
The week had started off with the surprising news that The Book Depository has been bought by Amazon, although the bid has been submitted to The Office of Fair Trading (the UK Government body that to oversees any breaches of trading laws) if it breaches any competition rules. Nonetheless, The Bookseller Association is not happy with this move and filed complaints to the OFT that this would increase Amazon’s monopoly in the bookselling market. However, despite this acquisition, there has been statements from execs from The Book Depository that there wont be any changes with the way things are being carried out now via their service such as …

Usually our wishlist posts show you books we heard about that we would like to get our hands on and read some day. But today I would like to share with you some books that I cannot wait to read and so this week’s Wishlist post is all about books I really want to buy now! 😀
They are the next in series and I just have to have them …now! (can you say impatient much? lol But I think all of you can sympathise and understand me, when it comes to our favourite series, we always have to have the next instalment in our hands like yesterday!) So a few of my must-buy-now-books:

I’m not a religious person, to say the least, but this has never stopped me from reading any type of book, regardless of its designation. In fact, it often surprises me as I’m reading a new author to find a religious element within the story. The thing within my own mind, though, is the stereotype I often associate with this type of literature: the preachiness of it all. Thankfully, this is very rarely the case when we’re talking about fiction. The ‘lessons’ seem to come in a more subtle form, with the ‘human condition’ as the whole point of a story, and the associated moralities displayed through the action and characters.
So, off I went to my first stop for research (and by now, I should really know better): Wiki. This time, I found Wiki’s …

Cole Kenjiro McGinnis, ex-cop and PI, is trying to get over the shooting death of his lover when a supposedly routine investigation lands in his lap. Investigating the apparent suicide of a prominent Korean businessman’s son proves to be anything but ordinary, especially when it introduces Cole to the dead man’s handsome cousin, Kim Jae-Min.
Jae-Min’s cousin had a dirty little secret, the kind that Cole has been familiar with all his life and that Jae-Min is still hiding from his family. The investigation leads Cole from tasteful mansions to seedy lover’s trysts to Dirty Kiss, the place where the rich and discreet go …

We are very happy to welcome Lorelei James here at Book Lovers Inc today. I discovered her contemporary cowboy stories a month ago and I fell in love ASAP. Her novel are wild and fun and definitely on the steamy side. They showed me the appeal of cowboys so I’m extremely happy to have Lorelei here today, talking about her cowboys. Her newest book, Chasin’ Eight is out this week and she will tell us what makes her cowboys special.
An extra thanks this week goes to Claudia, who helped me with the interview questions – thanks a bunch sweety.
Stay tuned till the end for your chance to win.
BLI: Lorelei can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Lorelei: Hard hitting questions right off, huh? I’m a forty-something happily married mother of three daughters …
Hammered by Kevin Hearne
Thor, the Norse god of thunder, is worse than a blowhard and a bully—he’s ruined countless lives and killed scores of innocents. After centuries, Viking vampire Leif Helgarson is ready to get his vengeance, and he’s asked his friend Atticus O’Sullivan, the last of the Druids, to help take down this Norse nightmare.
One survival strategy has worked for Atticus for more than two thousand years: stay away from the guy with the lightning bolts. But things are heating up in Atticus’s home base of Tempe, Arizona. There’s a vampire turf war brewing, and Russian demon hunters who call themselves the Hammers of God are running rampant. Despite multiple warnings and portents of dire consequences, Atticus and Leif journey to the Norse plain of Asgard, where they team up with a werewolf, a sorcerer, and an …
