Okay, so in honor of the release of my book, My Way To Hell (the sequel to Kiss and Hell), the lovely Miss Susi Sunshine asked me to come blog.

Now this week we have the YUMMMMMIE Phury! Phury is another one of those that i didn’t really have anyone in mind as I read his story. When I pictured him, all I would get is a blurr for his face!

As a lover of animals and nature, Beatrix Hathaway has always been more comfortable outdoors than in the ballroom. Has the time come for the most unconventional of the Hathaway sisters to settle for an ordinary man—just to avoid spinsterhood?
Captain Christopher Phelan is a handsome, daring soldier who plans to marry Beatrix’s friend, the vivacious flirt Prudence Mercer, when he returns from fighting abroad. But, as he explains in his letters to Pru, …

Kita is adjusting to her new liquid diet–an adjustment she rather resents. Not that everything was chocolate and sunshine before (though both were possible before the sexy but infuriating Nathanial sank his fangs in her business). Kita’s ability to shape shift into a kitten when her peers shifted into lions and tigers complicated her life, to say the least, but getting stuck in one form–that of a human shaped tick, a.k.a. a vampire–sucks, literally. Her adjustment period is violently interrupted when she discovers a headless corpse during a party for a visiting vampire council. But, the headless dancer won’t be the only corpse she encounters.
Kita’s involvement draws …
Today we are very happy to welcome Nicole Peeler, author of the Jane True series on Book Lovers,Inc. Her new book Tracking the Tempest was released earlier this week. (I am in love with her book covers!) Let’s give Nicole a warm welcome!
The HEA Lover: First can we call you Nicole or do you prefer Dr. Peeler?
Nicole: Everywhere outside of the classroom I’m Nicole. But some people enjoy calling me Dr. Peeler. I think it’s because I don’t look anything like a serious professor.
The HEA Lover: For everyone who doesn’t know you: tell us a bit about yourself?
Nicole: I grew up outside of Chicago, but left for college. I’ve lived all over the place and I love to travel. Right at this second, I’m living in Louisiana, but I’m just about to move to Pennsylvania to teach at …

Living in a small town in Rockabill, Maine. Jane True always knew she didn’t quite fit in with so-called normal society.
During her nightly, clandestine swim in the freezing winter ocean, a grisly find leads Jane to startling revelations about her heritage: she is only half-human.
Now, Jane must enter a world filled with supernatural creatures that are terrifying, beautiful, and deadly – all of which perfectly describe her new “friend,” Ryu, a gorgeous and powerful vampire.
It is a world where nothing can be taken for granted: a dog can heal with a lick; spirits bag your groceries; and whatever you do, never – ever – rub the genie’s lamp.
I bought this book with my own funds.
My Thoughts:
Many have compared Jane True to Sookie …
I read a post on Wicked Little Pixie’s blog by the Queen B (you can check out the post HERE) where she talks about Urban Fantasy, more specifically about the scarce number of Male protagonists in UF. She also mentions that the word on the grapevine is that, and I quote: “writers writing male leads in UF are not being picked up by publishers. Even if the stories are good. What I’m hearing is that they don’t really want men, and they especially don’t want the male protagonist to be bisexual or gay.”
I couldn’t help but take advantage of my little bi-weekly feature and put on my two cents in this whole deal.
I have to admit that I am very ambivalent in this whole thing. On one side I am all for the Kick-Ass men of Urban Fantasy, bring on Dresden, Felix Castor, Simon Canderous and any …
