Before you think I’m the one saying goodbye to YOU let me reassure you that’s not the case, you won’t get rid of me so easily 😉 No, it’s the end of summer and that means my little sister leaves home and returns to school. Abroad. 🙁 This year she’s doing an exchange program and will be studying in sunny Lisboa (Portugal), so you can guess where I’ll be spending my autumn holiday 😉

This time of the year is always a bit sad: after having spent months with her, doing all those special sister bonding stuff (from late night Smash marathons to Sunday afternoon bakings, from summer picnics to shopping sprees) it makes me sad that I won’t see her for months. I got so used to her being a phone call away and her stopping by my office for an impromptu lunch between sisters *sigh* Well, anyway I am glad …

Barnes and Nobel have announced that they will be finally expanding in the UK market with their Nook devices. They have a launched a Nook UK online store which will offer their products but they also plan in teaming up with retailers which will sell their devices to customers in stores although there is no details on who it will be. However it may not be as easy to break into the UK market as the Kindle, which is already offered in a few stores as well as the Kobo and even the Sony ereader have made in-roads in the ereading/ereader market. We all have our favorite series, right?
